This is the most optimistic Ive felt in years, I think we'll beat meath and give the dubs a run for their money

it's great that's it's in a provincial venue. For the first time in ages I'm excited about the Leinster championship again. Really feel the winners of this will give Dublin a real test, which will be good for them too. Going for a draw on the 17th, Meaths haul of 27pts yesterday was phenomenal and they've been racking up massive scores during the league too, so that is a big concern for me, think Kildare will need to take their goal chances the next day.

both teams getting better, this is potentially going to be a very good game with lots of scores. both sides like to play football and whoever wins will trouble dublin i assure you.

Why do you think this ? What are you basing this on? Meath beat Louth all the time Kildare beat Laois all the time. Why are Meath and Kildare improving? Again I'm not saying they aren't I just need some evidence? The only reason I see the gap closing is If Connolly gets suspended. This Meath team lost to a Down team on the worst run in their history , I watched Kildare in the league final against Galway they were shocking bad.

I agree in fairness with the very little evidence part but u can't use a match 4 months ago to back it up. Alot of football played since then

Kildare back to back promotions and not too shabby underage and Meath are playing like Meath of old under new management and very unlucky not to be promoted, probably won't be enough to beat Dubs this year but one of the two will dethrone them in the not too far future.

First sell out of the summer? What does Tullamore hold? Will be huge demand for tickets especially in north kildare/ south meath areas

Your right but a width of a goal post against Kerry in a league final two months ago is being used all the time on how to beat Dublin, so what do we use as evidence of improvement? Meath hammering Louth ? As long as I'm watching Meath v Louth Meath always hammer them (2010 apart).

I think by any measure back to back promotions and back in the top tier of football in the country is regarded as improvement. Might not be enough to beat Dublin this year but improvement nonetheless.

I think what people are trying to say is that meath under andy mc have improved they have a bit of belief back in the team for the 1st time in years they are playing a better style of football than they have in years meath got off to a slow start in the league but when they got the team settled they really demolished some teams all be it some of the opposition might not have been great but its still an improvement on recent years. Kildare have been coming for a few years now and promotion to div 1 in league is giving them confidence I don't think either team will beat Dublin this year but leinster will be tougher for the dubs to win in next few years because to be honest they have had it very easy in leinster for nearly the last decade apart from 2010. I cant wait for sat week it will be a great game and although the winner might not beat Dublin in the leinster final provided yee get there it wont be as easy as it has been for you in the last decade.

Should be a hum dinger. I can see it being tactical for a while. Graham Reilly (some player) will have a L Keegan job done on him by O Lyons probably, but the McEntee's are clever enough to work around that. On the basis that Meath went behind in the second half and how well they responded immediately yesterday. I would fancy them by the odd score. Who ever loses should have a long Summer though, a good hard tight game will do both of them good.

20'000 capacity, I expect it to be tested alright, delighted its in Tullamore though which is undoubtedly one of the best GAA stadiums around

Thoughts of either Kildare or Meath putting it up to Dublin are fanciful just yet. Kildare have the better team than Meath though and should have 3 or 4 to spare in this

agree with all of that alright. to get 27 points of 2 of our forwards didn't play well is pretty good.
