Replying To jimbodub:  "Good win for Meath

But letting in 3 goals against the 6th best team in Leinster..."
meath should have had 3/4 goals themselves.they were a far better side than louth.

Same today short kick out turned around to grab cap or something, ball was intercepted lobbed back in padys back was to it when the ball harmlessly rolled into net. The most bizarre goal I have ever seen, I still can't believe it happened, honestly it just left everyone stunned.

Meath were always gonna win this game comfortably in my opinion.

They will beat Kildare in the semi also...

Hes usually worth 4-6 points to the opposing team. Not sure how he keeps his place.

Thankfully we put up 27 scores of our own so that'll keep the noisy neighbours quiet for a while.

To be fair to POR I know he made a blunder but also made 2 unbelievable saves and his kick outs found their man a lot of the time yesterday thought he played well bar that absolute blunder of a kick out that led to the flukey goal.

agreed he did well most of the time kickouts were good for the most part there was one high ball that i think mcdonnell for louth got a fist to that he saved but thought he could have came and claimed it but overall wasnt to bad unlucy for the 3rd goal

Hard luck to Louth, they battled well and had us under pressure for long spells, if they can hold it together then they can go on a decent run in the qualifiers.

Overall happy with our performance, some of our forward play was outstanding, we kicked points for fun, Lenihan and Reilly in particular were very good. Work is a word that McEntee likes to use and it's clear to see that to be on his team, he demands hard work and nothing short of it, whether that leads us anywhere or not only time will tell, but it's great to see the effort being put in.

The elephant in the room is of course the concession of three goals, that will cost you more often than not, but I'm sure the lads will work on it and hopefully we can improve for the next day.

Well done to all, very enjoyable game, much better quality from both teams than last year's game.
