Meath v Louth

I was at the Armagh and Down Division two league final in 2010 and there was no love lost between the supporters. Kildare and Laois is another match where there would be plenty of fireworks. It all depends on where you live Ziggy. You are an Ashbourne man so you would probably see Meath and Dubs as a bigger derby match than Meath and Louth. Louth is an unique position because Meath is its only Leinster neighbour while Meath have Leinster borders with Louth, Dublin, Kildare, Offaly and Westmeath.

No offense to Wicklow but I think most Meath people expected Louth to be our opposition. Anyway has the makings of a good game, I think last year's affair in Parnell Park lacked a lot of quality but both sides seem to have improved this year and hopefully that will show.

Only worry is I'll be just home from a stag that Sunday so if you see a lad curled up fetal and babbling, buy him a pint and maybe if you're half dacent looking give him the kiss of life ;- )

And the only one of them bordering counties that I dont mind is Louth (as in not despising) where I grew up I was 4 miles from Westmeath, 6 from Kildare and 2.5 from Offaly, and dubs I just hate, its in Meath dna I guess, but as I said I lived on border with Louth for quite a time and never had one problem.

Is that near Castlejordan Royaldunne? Edenderry is not too far away from that neck of the woods. The river Boyne is the border between Offaly and Kildare just outside Edenderry.

Its 50/50 between them and Westmeath for me with Kildare a close 3rd. I live in wm and have dub in-laws so its always a toss up, cant they both just loose?

You would be correct Ollie, actually the parish is Ballinabrackey. I went from one end of county to the other in bettystown :)
If you go on Facebook a lad did a very funny thing on Ballinabrackey, it's un Meath but cant get to it without going through either Offaly, Westmeath or Kildare. Its a world of its own out there :)

That's like that part of County Monaghan where it's cut off from the rest of the county. You have to go through County Fermanagh to get to the rest of the county.

Fair enough royaldunne, I'll have to settle for a tall, leggy blonde so, ah well. Get practicing for that streak now, we'll been winning Leinster soon!

Think I'll head into this, and for God's sake RD, show me some passion, I'm expecting to see two teams really go at it, because if the intensity is not in this game both sides are wasting their time going forward.

Well that's the main thing Andy has brought, passion. Yes the players are playing to a coherent plan, but for the first time in many a year they are playing with passion amd belief.

Doubtful, last year not one ticket available on day, lot more optimism from both Meath and Louth this year, expect tickets to be gone by next Friday v
