Replying To AustinGleeson6:  "K/C look to have finally got their act together after losing their opening game to Dunmore and appear to be peaking at the correct time. The games are coming thick and fast and as every manager out there says "These games are betther than forty sessions lads". The lay off for CG may prove to be a hindrance but i suppose time will tell. I feel K/Cs advantage of playing league action at a higher level may be the very small thing to get them over the line in what will be a game of fine margins. If Shaney runs at the porous CG defence it may be over before the fat lady even warms up her voice never mind sings - We will have to wait and see.

What a game we have here between Aran v Baille Liam. 2 teams that nobody would have said will be in a semi final last May but the reality is 1 of these teams will make a county final ! 2 physically big teams but in my opinion Aran will be too big and powerful for Williamstown who are very reliant on Gary Kelly who has had his injury concerns over the last few years. Like the other Semi - It will be a tight encounter, I can see both teams being nervous and a cagey opening half. Aran..... just about."
What a draw for Aran and the Willie's, they might never get an opportunity like this again. I'm going Williamstown v K/C final, what a final that would be for the locals and neautral. I watched Williamstown against Menlough and Oranmore this year, they should have bet Menlough in the first round if not for a few poor misses throughout the game and against Oranmore they deserved their win. They are a good team and who are definitely not reliant on Kelly, he actually was very poor against Oranmore and it was the rest of the forward line that carried them through on the day with a never say die attitude and some lovely forward play. Best of luck to both teams, it's a fantastic story for two rural clubs fighting it out against the big boys

Jellybaby for a fella from Dublin you pretend to be very knowledagble about Galway Intermediate club football...... Pretty crazy for you to say Baille Liam are not reliant on Gary Kelly but you are entitled to your opinion nonetheless. Whoever wins between the Willies and Aran can go into the final, throw the shackles off and go hell for leather with absolutely nothing to lose. Aran have been the giant killers in this championship the past few years taking many ascalp but often times let themselves down at the real business end of the championship.

Sad to hear about the untimely passing of Enda Dalys father. A real gem of Galway football has been Enda. He owes nothing to K/C and will be a big boost to have him back for a semi final provided he feels up to it. And what a motivating factor also.

Surely the venues and times have been fixed ?

Claregalway v k/c

Was at the games in team today.annaghdown left it behind them(I think the beast was inj)
Mountbellew look like genuine contenders.

Back to the inter game..

Again k/c got through another game without relying on Shane Walsh. He still caused problems even though he was kept scoreless from play.

Has to be hard on k/c today ad they were without their driving force enda Daly due to the untimely passing of his father (rip)they did it the hard way today saw it out.

Headford had a game plan and saw it out and just fell short due to some serious defending and a cool head in goal.

I don't think claregalway will fear k/c and expect them to just get over the line and I would think the islanders will be just too strong physicaly for the willies.

Two great semis in store. Anybody know the vinew or date?"
if the beast was injured why was he asked to play midfield? he looked exhausted to me as any inside forward carrying that weight would be when thrust into midfield against a team like corofin- mad stuff really

anyway kk/c didnt look great and there seem to be a few players being carried- the highly resourced CG to power through to the final and meet Aran where they will be upset by the direct running islanders!

I'm a Galway man living and working in Dublin for 20 years now. No affiliation to Williamstown at all, I was supporting my local team the last day they happened to be in Tuam;)

Claregalway have won the last 5 of their games in championship and league by 7+ points. Momentum lies with them for this Intermediate title. Realistically they are a team capable of making the knockout phases of the Senior Championship with ease.

I would have them as 1/2 favs to win out the champ now at this stage with Menlough gone.

Yes I think the final is actually this semi final between K/C v Claregalway. The winner will go on to win the final. Claregalway very good outfit, blew both Menlough and An Spideal away, can't see Williamstown or Aran getting within 5 of them

Expect the islanders to edge a low scoring dog fight tomorrow...

Writing Off Williamstown or Aran Islands in a Final is a Big Call.... One of them are going to be there with nothing to lose! The Semi Finals are going to be 2 tight games and both could go either way!!!

CG have too much power and resources for the willies or kk/c but if the islanders can keep their firsdt 15/17 players fit and on the field i give them a good chance

Aran and Williamstown draw 0-12 apiece. 2 injury time points for Aran. Big wind at the game.

Sounded like a great game on Galway Bay, draw probably a fair result overall? Any players stand out?

If ever there were two teams who deserved another day out, it was these two. Brilliant contest.

What a true Championship game at Pearse Stadium yesterday between Williamstown & Aran Islands. It was a game of great Skill, Score Taking and determination in windy conditions and a great representation on Galway Intermediate Football. Both Clubs should be proud of their Teams, Management and Supporters for producing a great spectacle and atmosphere. Hopefully the replay will be as Entertaining.

Was a great game on Sunday for the neutrals. Both teams are poor enough imo though and are over reliant on 2/3 players.i think this is where claregalway and to a lesser extent k/c have the advantage.

Both semi's are on Sunday. It's a pity for the followers of football that these games are both not on in the same venue.

I'm going for a willystown/claregalway win.
