Replying To NathinButSteel:  "Really exciting round of action in the intermediate champ. Here's how the bookmakers see things as we approach the weekend.

Oranmore 4/9 - Glenamaddy 9/4
St.Brendans 2/5 - Clifden 3/1
Oughterard 10/11 - Athenry 11/10
Cárna 7/2 - K/C 1/3
Aran 7/4 - Dunmore 1/2
Williamstown 5/4 - Ballinasloe 5/6
Spideal 9/4 - Headford 1/2
Claregalway 2/5 - Menlough 5/2

There's definitely some money to be made looking at the above. Oranmore represent real value even at 4/9 imo."
Not sure where you got these odds but Glenamaddy at 9/4 is tasty, think they'll surprise and and worth a few bob?
Double of themselves and an Spideal might be worth a shot too.

You can't get odds on the intermediate games in Galway this year.
paddy Power stopped doing them this year.

ORANMORE v Glennamaddy - Oranmore seem to be different team under Gerry Fahy this year. One of my picks to go far in the championship
St. Brendans v Clifden - hard to know what to expect off Clifden. I hear reports they arent going well. Ballygar have some nice footballers but I cant really call this one. Id fear for the loser going into relegation.
Oughterard v ATHENRY - Tom Flynn should be back for Athenry this round. Massive boost. They will feel they have a point to prove after the dissapointing defeat to Glennamaddy.
Carna Caiseal v K/C - two of the more recent senior clubs, if Carna can nullify the threat of Walsh and Co, I feel they may get something out of this game, however if they dont, expect K/C to work their way back into the championship.
WILLIAMSTOWN v Ballinasloe - Ballinasloe were unlucky not to have beaten Headford in round 1, again they seem to be bit of a mystery. they have players coming and going. I think only 2 players played the last day from their All Ireland team. Williamstown should have enough in the tank here.
Spiddal v HEADFORD- Headford to nick a tight low scoring game. I wouldnt hold much for either team in the championship
CLAREGALWAY v Menlough - One of the ties of the round. Menlough have been a bit of bogey team for CG in recent years, but by all reports i hear CG are making a big push this year after coming up short the last few. I expect them to put menlough to the sword here.

Predictions:
Championship: CLAREGALWAY
Relegation: CLIFDEN

Was in Tuam today for double header, disappointed in Glenamaddy felt sorry for their defence as they had little or no support or movement from Midfield and half forwards and Oranmore ran through them handy in second half. If not for a great save from the Glen keeper in the first half and some good chances missed Oranmore could have been out of sight. After this I think they could get to the final. Glen will have to sort midfield if they are to do anything.
Oranmore fit and well drilled , made much better fist of the strong wind in the second half. They can only get better. Glen will have to try and bring some more movement into their game , looked very static at times ( if not unfit around the middle )

Annaghdown impressed in the second game - well drilled also but lightning fast moving the ball. Were well up for any physical confrontation required. Thought M/M were poor throughout. Eoin Finnerty and John Daly big loss to them.
will be interesting to see if Annaghdown can push on from this.

Not exactly the most insightful post I have ever read. FYI the 2 Flahertys were indeed playing for Monivea. 2 from 2 for them so they are home and hosed in terms of safety so good for them. Considering Cathal Mannion was withdrawn from the Galway hurling game with an injury the answer would be NO - he didn't feature for Caltra.
Wasn't aware Alan Flynn was training Annaghdown but when I heard I wasn't surprised to see them beat Mountbellew. Salthill will be kicking themselves they didn't hold out against Tuam but c'est la vie.

As for Intermediate - Oranmore going well and under the radar. In a Q final so anything can happen here now. Huge win for K/C. They are far from finished in this championship although question marks still remain over their defence and midfield. Rumour on the grapevine that John Donnellan is set to be installed as the new Dunmore manager in the coming weeks. You didn't hear it from me though. Claregalway had too much for a disappointing Menlough outfit. Hard to justify Pete Warrens money on a performance like that.

Two Flahertys indeed not playing for Abbey; Brian did, Paul was injured. Lettermore poor enough, missing lads abroad I think. Good win for Abbey, keeps them Senior again next year and gives their light young players, (FB line all under 20 last evening), breathing space to develop, strengthen and gain experience.

Cant really take Nathinbutsteel and certainly TheCuteFox seriously at this point with their claims, arguements and prices as per the above.

Nice to see the weekend throw up some surprises with results. K/C will definitely take some beating now after racking up such a massive score. Will be keeping a close eye on this. CG v Menlough was billed as tie of the round but didnt deliver. Rob Hughes was deployed at FF which is odd to me but what do i know. Dunmore getting beaten was a big upset imo and they will have to go to the well to turb their season around.
