Aran's appeal is dishonourable against Williamstown. That's not an opinion that's a fact. A Dub then throwing their hat into the ring with a ridiculous opinion obviously is going to incur a response like that. If not from me then from somebody else.

Don't know why you're getting on a moral high-horse rather than focusing on the issue at hand. Are you an Aran Island-sympathiser?"
I think you should re read my post. My comment has nothing to do with your view or that of the Dublin poster. More your response just because you don't agree with the poster's point. Can i make it any clearer. For the record i am neither Aran or Williamstown although i know of people in both communities doing great work to promote football.

I am being victimised here for stating the obvious. My apologies everybody. Adieu

Some of the comments here have been very witty.. I'm assuming the majority of ye are joking right ?

Bad taste from Aran imo - look rules are rules and all that jazz BUT i mean come on. The player in question is 18 and only came on in the game. He is going to be sanctioned heavily for this and so should the american based club.

I wouldn't throw the toys out of the pram and start appealing thise. Aran should take their beating like men. After all, no team should have to rely on a technicality to defeat Williamstown.

the rules need to be followed - end of
willies will be out but it will take time so the eventual winner will not get to play connacht championship...its messy and chaotic but it is what it is.

We'll have to disagree to agree here. It's a pity that this fabulous championship has ended like this. Worthy winners & favourites the Willies are out - but they'll be back next year. Best wishes to Claregalway against Aran in the finals.

Claregalway are worthy winners and would have won with ease against the willies.

Crazy post, based on performances & quality of teams played Williamstown have the edge on Claregalway!

Claregalway are strong enough to stay in senior for years. Can't say the willies are stronger than any current senior side

Madness. Claregalway are an aging team, the Willies are young and hungry. Were you at any of their games?

Nonsense, I've seen Gary Kelly kept scoreless from play by a few different markers over the past couple of years.

Williamstown are getting a raw deal from Aran and the County Board here. Totally unsportsmanlike behaviour from Aran.
I'm looking forward to seeing Claregalway giving them a whooping.
Claregalway or Kilkerrin Clonberne were always going to win this title in any event.
Both of them are a long, long way ahead of Aran or Williamstown.

The toing and froing on this thread regarding the Aran/Williamstown issue is futile in the truest sense of the word. Williamstown and Aran where playing to see who got the right to get beat by Claregalway in the final - its as simple as that.

This Claregalway team are head and shoulders above every team in the division and at least 50% of the teams in the Senior championship. Historically Menlough (more precisely Rob Hughes) had the measure of Cg in intermediate stretching all the way back to 2013 but injuries to key Menlough players (more precisely Rob Hughes) this season meant they were a spent force and Claregalway finally broke their hoodoo over them.

All in all this has been a fantastic year for Claregalway and when coupled with their minor championship success I expect them to be top 4 contenders in the Senior Championship within 2-3 years.

Claregalway will win the 'final' against Aran by at least 5/6 points. Lets all now applaud their performance in this years intermediate championship rather than get bogged down in ultimately meaningless squabbling between Aran/Williamstown.

Believe & Achieve" - Roy Keane, 2014.

I think this quote summarizes the outlook of the Willies this year. After slaying some giants on the way, the Williamstown men are served with a mammoth injustice.

Time is the greatest healer of all. The entire country will be behind Claregalway in the final. #GaillimhAbu

So Williamstown will now rightly have the privilege of getting a roasting from Claregalway.
This will be a one sided affair.
