Get Shine into shape, and we definitely have an All-Ireland in this team..
Back to back Connacht titles first anyway I suppose, and take it from there

Don't forget Cathal Shine.I thought he was a huge prospect for us but it hasn't happened.

I'd still have him back in the panel in the morning. Are there 30 better players around the county than him? No."
Doubt if he would be happy with a place on the bench

Reading Tuesdays full Kevin McStay interview he ticked a lot of the right boxes and was man enough to admit mistakes was made in the All Ireland Quarter final replay. He was especially right about the culture of strength and conditioning in the mindset as some players still don't seem to be buying into it. The carry on of players not happy unless they are starters has to stop also. Its a no brainier that we need to get back to Div one ASAP and reach the super 8 next year and to do that we will need panel with more strength in depth than this summer. McStay clearly has a long term plan to have us in a good place for the next manager to take over in the years ahead.

Back to the topic of the thread i will be at the Junior and inter double header in Hyde park on Sunday hopefully the weather improves and we see two good games of football.

A very good intermediate final between two well matched sides. Glaveys 5 points in a row before half time was probably the winning of it for them. Fuerty were best served by Eamon Bannon,Niall Kilroy and Leahy was impressive when introduced. Fitzmaurice,Glennon,Hussey were to the fore for Glaveys as was county minor Heneghan.

The Junior final a very disappointing one sided game that Brigids had won before half time. Kilglass are much better than that and hopefully they will prove it when they play the Sligo champions next in the Connacht championship.

Wrong on both predictions..
Brigids were very impressive.
Intermediate could have gone either way.
Congratulations glaveys..

I agree. Intermediate game was very good and right in the mix till the very end. Taught Angeus Lyons was outstanding and was my man of the match.
Must compliment the officals in both games.

junior final was very poor kilglass wont be doing anything in Connacht. Intermiedate was a good closely contestant contest. Best for glaveys was hussy heneghan Fitzmaurice and glennon (minus frees) for fuerty the two bannons, lyons and Kilroy stood out.

I think glaveys are now better equipped for senior football a very young team has gained a lot of experience.

I'd have to disagree. I think glaveys will really struggle to stay in the senior championship. They have no backs at all none of their backs looked able to defend. Very poor defensively. Fuerty lack of composure in front of goals cost them badly.

Hussey was one of their backs and he was one of the best players on the field Sunday. Shane O Malley,Liam Cregg i thought did well in defence also in a game where they held their opponents to 0-7 from play.

Castlerea are about the same level as Glaveys it will be two way fight between those teams to avoid relegation next year.

I agree hussey is a very good back but he was played as a half forward and generally played out there. I agree that it will be a battle between glaveys and castlerea to come down but I think castlerea are turning a corner.
The rest of the glaveys backs will struggle in the senior championship. Omalley included.
It would be a surprise if glaveys didn't employee a sweeper next year.

Hopefully the Fahey Cup will be back where it belongs Sunday night, 10 championships in the last 12 years would be some achievement.

St Brigids have won enough and it would be good for club football in Roscommon if they are beaten on Sunday.

The Fahey Cup will be back where it belongs. Its not hard to know who the Brigids supporter is with a comment like that. As a neutral myself i don't care who wins but as paying spectator i will be hoping i get value for money with a good competitive contest.

1970 to 2004 St Brigids won just one county senior title. 2005 to 2016 they have won 9 county titles and on the verge of winning a 10th title some turnaround and improvement by the club. Roscommon Gaels have won their last 5 senior finals. 1992 v Strokestown after a replay their last defeat. This will be only the 3rd Roscommon Gaels v St Brigids final. One win each so far 1969 Brigids won by 4 points and 1962 Roscommon Gaels won by a point.

Will be well worth arriving early to see the minor final. I seen the championship group game and league final between Clann v Brigids was nothing between the sides. It should be a good minor final with loads of talent on show.

Well done St Brigids...indisputed champions and serious talents underage coming up...ip to every one else to reset their sails and close the gap.

Brigids the best in Roscommon undoubtedly but they were hammered by Corofin last year and I hope that doesn't happen again in a couple of weeks. While today's Final seems to have been a good match,I wouldn't be sure the standard of the club championship in Roscommon is that good.
