Sars, Sylane and I suspect Craughwell will come through against Tynagh to take semi-finals. Has the other quarter final being played yet? thecut (Galway) - Posts: 332 - 04/10/2017 15:18:55 2053035 Link 0 |

Was in ballinasloe yesterday for intermediate semi final I saw 2nd half of junior qr final v craughwell v tynagh a lively game craughwell won by 4pts dey played lovely hurling had 2 standout performers in Patrick Monaghan younger brother of senior thomas and keelan cullinane younger brother of Adrian how cullinane is not in club senior team looks a mystery to every1 around me he scored about 1.05 alone in2nd half from play from all over field if der senior team has 6 better forwards than him they take Sum stopping in knockouts clubtalk (Galway) - Posts: 51 - 09/10/2017 10:39:03 2054023 Link 0 |
This Junior A will be competitive to the end. Craughwell have a nice team, don't think Cullinane was available to play for the seniors so far this year!

Craughwell v sylane this weekend. 2 good teams but I think sylane are a step above the rest. Will have to Strongly fancy them for the cup. Galwayfc123 (Galway) - Posts: 6 - 16/10/2017 20:46:13 2055641 Link 0 |
heard senior management in craughwell used up to 6 players for sub appearances during senior group games and didn't get another chance after been used der year ruined and inegible to play junior grade which was their proper grade to play so it a pity they short them players over stupidly using them when not required clubtalk (Galway) - Posts: 51 - 16/10/2017 23:46:28 2055659 Link 0 |
Craughwell will no doubt beat Sylane at the weekend. Sylane are always there or thereabouts but always come up short when it really matters. sololass (Galway) - Posts: 15 - 17/10/2017 19:46:16 2055845 Link 0 |
Tough game to call, they both have very good teams but sylane could just snipe it but i wouldnt write craughwell off either, the winner from this game should win the co final hands down, tommies are a poor team, more in there line to look after there seniors and the state they are in! galwaybound (Galway) - Posts: 199 - 18/10/2017 08:39:52 2055923 Link 0 |
Its a double edge sword. All senior clubs have this issue. If lads don't get a chance to play Senior, they most likely will drop interest and commitment to the game. No other way to test if they are good enough than to play senior. If players don't want to, they can just decide not to play senior!..Some lads get the chance but they are just not good enough. Id blame the rule rather than the club!..Ive seen clubs who start a fella, he then gets injured, so for next game they need subs, cant play with 16 or 17 anymore!

Sylane to bate Craughwell this weekend & beat TL in Final Tiddlywinks77 (Galway) - Posts: 270 - 18/10/2017 09:37:36 2055930 Link 0 |
Craughwell to win it out but it would be nice to Sylane, a Junior club advance to Intermediate. thecut (Galway) - Posts: 332 - 18/10/2017 11:44:58 2055976 Link 0 |
Sylane to win it out - too good for Junior, wouldn't be far off Senior IMO.

What ever about senior there looking good to go intermediate and should have beaten c well by more but for wastefulness. Well done, they proved me wrong. thecut (Galway) - Posts: 332 - 30/10/2017 12:08:56 2059088 Link 0 |
Seen few mins before Senior replay. Wastefulness a bit harsh, Craughwell goalkeeper pulled off 3 top drawer saves. They had very few wides. Be hard beat in final.. bogmaster19 (Galway) - Posts: 16 - 30/10/2017 12:52:48 2059093 Link 0 |
Bogmaster, maybe "clinical" should have been the word to use. thecut (Galway) - Posts: 332 - 30/10/2017 15:48:00 2059125 Link 0 |
