Disappointing result for Martins today, thought the second sending off was very harsh. Have to question giving O'Callaghan so much space in the forwards. People probably blaming the guy marking him but he had so much room. Surprised at Martins naivety but first time they have been in the Leinster Championship in a ling time so I'm sure they will learn from this. Also there forwards seemed very poor on the day and the loss of Rory O'Connor needed orders to step up which they didn't apart from Joe Coleman.

I would like to know on what information you are basing this prediction on.

spoke to a lad involved with fethard during the week he said that brother pearses had hit some big scores in there games, said fethard were confident of winning but not going over with attitude of they would win handy, what i will say if fethard show fight and intensity as they did in leinster final it will take a good team to beat them, best of luck to them and kilanerin hope they keep the wexford flag flying at club level...

Well I have seen Bros Pearse playing in the London final and in my humble opinion they are as good as any junior team I have seen. Best of luck to them also.

Congratulations to Fethard and Kilanerin on there recent sucesses, despite what's been said about the Kilanerin Tara rocks merger it's a brilliant achievement to get any title at provincial level. I'm sure it's created a fantastic buzz in the respective communities

Yeah true but it is still 2 teams joined up would kilanerin have won it by themselves??They were always going to go back senior but the join up has made it happen sooner and also brought them a Leinster title tough on some rock players who would normally be playing looking at some teammate's winning all around them

You could apply that logic to a lot of under-age teams as well. Dozens of "mergers" all over the county, means even more players being cast aside while the stronger ones flourish.

looks like 2 injury time goals ruined your prediction, you were close though if Fethard had to have closed up shop at the very end.

Common sense really, Fethard hurled the snot out of a Kilkenny team in the Leinster Final and are on a roll.
Bar two stupid late goals I was pretty much on the money 18 score to 11, there was always only going to be one winner.

Yes still though, you would have to rate Fethards Leinster victory a lot higher than Kilanerins. Like I dont want to take away from their achievement buts its two clubs joined together. I have heard that Tara Rocks have lost a huge amount of players due to the merger so looks like it has benefited Kilanerin a lot more. And yes you would have to ask the question, would they have won it on their own? I would have my doubts! And due to the above, I dont rate their Leinster championship victory at all and take it with a pinch of salt.

I would rate both Leinster titles as great for the county and would not rate one higher than the other even if one was Intermediate and the other Junior. Kilanerin will be average enough in senior football next year and Fethard will be average enough in Intermediate hurling also so good luck to both of them for extending their county title successes further than the local pubs for a week which unfortunately is where most Wexford teams end up after winning county titles. Be great to look back in 20 years time saying " winning the Leinster was some achievement" than looking back thinking "Five days solid drinking, we were some heroes"

Do you take all "merged" clubs victories with a grain of salt ?

I didnt hear anyone from Galway, or anywhere else, complain when St Thomas won the All-Ireland a couple of years ago. They were a newly formed amalgamation of rural clubs who found that they couldn't compete at the required standard until they "merged". Or similarly, Ballyhale Shamrocks, who were an amalgamation of Ballyhale and Knocktopher. I didnt hear or see anyone question the validity of their All-Ireland titles because of the amalgamation.

I'm afraid you may have stock up on that salt !!!

True at least both teams put a good effort into Leinster which is something.Still all said kilanerin are really a decent senior team playing in intermediate Leinster they always knew they would go well in Leinster the senior champions in Wexford really have no hope of winning Leinster but I agree they should make some effort.Gusserane last year in Leinster were a disgrace in fairness

Yellabelly I wouldn't call kilanerin a small rural club in all fairness they won I don't know how many senior titles not like they went back to junior b like. They were intermediate and always going to go back senior football. That is not small rural clubs joining Tara Rocks maybe but they were very close to intermediate themselves. If it was 3 or junior teams joining to make 1 good team I would agree bit in no way are kilanerin a small rural club...

Maybe I'm being harsh but a small rural club??? You must be joking, a small club they are not. And with Tara Rocks included its a massive area thats covered. I also heard since Tara Rocks joined with Kilanerin, out of the 27 footballers they did have, there is only 11 left playing. Great promotion of GAA!

Sorry mate, check the figures. Its the second smallest parish in the county.

"And with Tara Rocks included its a massive area thats covered." . . . . an area of about 2 square mines makes it massive ???
