Hope you've settled into the new country OK? Any problems moving?

So I guess this is becoming more and more relevant.

Currently in Football:
- Galway played in last years U.21 All Ireland final
- Undefeated in Div 1 (having played the dubs)
- In Div 1 Final
- Corofin are All Ireland club champions

Hurling:
- All Ireland Champs
- Minor Champs
- Contested the previous U. 21 final

It really isn't fair on other counties, Galway ...and maybe even Dublin need to be split up. Dublin into 2 but I think in terms of fairness Galway needs to be split into 4.

Just wondering what the thoughts are on splitting Galway in 4 to make it a level playing field for other counties? Galway's sheer dominance of both code over the last few months have left the majority of the country annoyed at the glaring disparigy when it comes to Galway V's the rest of Ireland. Many reports suggest that the sunny weather and allure of the Spanish Arch has drawn an population increase to the county.

Should the GAA HQ and Connacht Council look to divide the counties bubbling line of talent to ensure a level playing field for other counties by:

Football (Galway are now Connacht Seniors football champs, won the FBD 2 years in a row, U.21 champs and minor league champs):
- Divide the footballers into 2 and have maybe an over 25s and under 25s play as separate teams in the championship?
- Another alternative would maybe be 'townies' and country lads play as separate teams in the championship?

Hurling (Galway now in the league final after just having a laugh and a bit of craic in 1b for the last few months)
- Divide Galway teams into two maybe based on lads who hurl with even inch hurls (i.e 32, 34's) and lads who hurl with odd numbers (31's, 33.s etc.)
- Of course another suggestion is also that two Galway teams could be made up of lads with farms and lads who work in cusshy office/teaching jobs"
Has Tomsmith moved to Galway now!

4 makes sense for Galway as youd split the hurlers in two and the footballers in two.

Could very well have Galway as the Connacht senior football champs and Leinster Senior hurling Champs if all goes according to plan

Dublin Region does contain the capital city council and 3 county councils. It is effectively a province in it's own right.

Louth was once part of Ulster and then Leinster for the last 400 years or so.

The entity that is Dublin could help revive the Railway Cup by taking on the rest of the provinces.

Leinster itself is big enough to be North and South in the Railway Cup.

The Railway Cup could consist of the following;
Connaught
Munster
Ulster
Dublin
North Leinster
South Leinster

If they played home and away with the cream of inter-county involved and properly marketed, you'd be looking at what would border on elite and near professional level.

It'll never happen but it's the blueprint for those aspiring any ideas of an elite professional level to the game.

In fairness, it is impressive to be so competitive in both codes and it shows many other counties, my own included, that it is possible to be competitive in both, if the will is there.

Well back in the day it was split into 4 for all grades in the club hurling Championship... East Galway, South Galway, Galway City and North Galway and each team had to win their own respective area to contest the County Semi Finals.

... they should enter their ladies football team into the Ulster championship and camogie team in the Munster championship for the craic.

The sooner it happens the better, cant have teams dominating like they are in the football, getting to league finals and winning connacht one year in a row, its not on..and while there at it Corofin should be spilt too, there destroying club football in Connacht and is there a bigger catchment area than Corofin in Connacht?
