Sow it into him Gooch!

But Brolly being the chameleon he is you just know the first time they are together he will be all Eamon Dunphy around Giles and Brady - 'this guy was a great player', 'this guy was the man to stand up when he's time were down and out' etc, etc.

Fair play to Gooch for getting a chance to make a few quid. There should be promotion relegation though where somebody gets the boot. I choose Tomas O'Se. Great footballer but absolutely god-awful analyst of the game (well on TV anyway) - I am certain he knows am awful lot but gives nothing away on TV.

Pretty clear now the whole thing was orchestrated to ramp up RTE coverage.

Hook, line and sinker.

We'll have to wait and see how things go. It seems that if you retire as a player from a successful county, RTE put you on the Sunday Game. The role of analyst is a different challenge than playing.

I agree with you 100% benny bunny, I wouldn't be gone on Tomas as a pundit.

But then again they don't really spend a lot of time going over games on the Sunday game evening show.

What they should do if they're caught for time on the evening show is extended analysis on line like match of the day.

Yeah Tomas O'Se and also Ciaran Whealan are very poor analysts so wouldn't mind if they were replaced.

Plamaus o'sé should call it as he sees it and less of the beating around the bush, Marc was on the last word with Matt cooper and Peter canavan last night and he was doing the same.

Peter canavan is a brilliant pundit and he's the best that's out there By a country mile , he knows his stuff and isn't afraid to offend anyone.

Tomas O'Shea and Ciarán whelan are the best pundits at the moment

I don't think Whellan and o'sé are much good to be quite honest.
I wish they would bring back tony Davis, he was brilliant.

Yeah I enjoyed Tony, wonder what happened to him?

Thinking about it, I can't remember Thomas Mulcahey on that much either these days, have they both been thrown to the sdielines to reflect Cork's low profile these last few years?

Whelan is a decent analyst. Analysis the games well and has a good knowledge of the modern game tacics/systems. One of the few pundits who genuinely knows players from counties outside Division 1. Time to rid Spillane and Brolly, Spillane has little knowledge of teams outside the top 4 and his party piece is listing scoring average of teams and guff about blanket defence. Brolly is an intelligent guy but spends too much time winding other pundits and can be quite annoying.

Ha yeah now that you mention it he does rant on about average scoring etc.

I don't know lad, Whellan was blatantly turning a blind eye to Dublins cynicism in last years semifinal and allireland final drawn game.

Now maybe it was unfair of the Sunday game to ask him to analyse his own team but he should have called it fair.

He also spoke over Tomas o'sé when he tried to bring it up.

Yes Whelan was biased on Dublin but he only doing what Spillane has been doing for last 25 years. Spillane invented terms puke football and blanket when Tyrone and Armagh beat kerry in the noughties instead of praising them for been better team.

Whelan only doing what Spillane has done for last 25 years been biased towards his own county.
