The Script concert at Croke Park next summer is set to net the GAA close to €1million.
According to a report in today's Irish Sun newspaper, yesterday's announcement that the band will play a concert on June 20 at HQ will be a huge shot in the arm for the GAA's 2015 funding.
Rental income for the use of Croke Park for concerts is said to cost close to €1m, with the association's existing planning agreement with the Dublin City Council allowing for the stadium to host three non-sporting events annually.
