Sligo manager Pat Flanagan will inform the county board in the coming days whether or not he is willing to stay on for another year.

The Sligo County Board are keen to retain the services of the Offaly native following an impressive first year at the helm.

However, the former Westmeath manager has been linked senior football manager's job in his native county and has this far refused to commit his future to the Connacht side.

Flanagan met with county board officials last weekend, but no decision on his future has been made, although he did attend the Sligo senior football championship matches over the weekend.

A source told the Sligo Champion: "Pat is making his mind up. It's just a case of waiting to see what happens now."
