Kevin Feely in action for Athy
Premiership side Everton are amongst a number of clubs keeping tabs on the progress of a rising Kildare GAA star.
Kevin Feely - who will turn 20 at the end of this month - has impressed as a centre-back with Bohemians in the Airtricity League this season.
Feely was part of the Kildare team that lost the 2010 Leinster MFC final and lined out at midfield for the Lilywhites' Under 21s this year.
He played a starring role in Athy's first county title success in 24 years last year.
His future may lie away from gaelic football, however, after Everton's Irish scout Paul Hamilton admitted that he holds him in high esteem.
"Kevin is one of the players that we have been watching but we look at all the better players in the league," Hamilton told the Kildare Nationalist.
"I like Kevin as a player, he has a good chance of getting a move but whether or not that is to Everton remains to be seen. We will continue to keep an eye on him but at the moment there is no move in the pipeline."
Feely first caught they eye of the Toffees when he marked Jermaine Beckford in a 1-1 friendly draw last year.
Meanwhile, Sean Long - who won a Kildare MFC C medal with Nurney last year - secured a move to Premiership new boys Reading during the summer.
