Joyce enlists for 15th season
February 07, 2012

Armagh's goalkeeper Philip McEvoy fails to stop Galway's Padraig Joyce during the NFL Div 1 game at The Athletic Grounds.
Padraig Joyce will be available to the Galway footballers again in 2012.
The 34-year-old attacker met up with manager Alan Mulholland last week and indicated his desire to extend his extraordinary intercounty year by another season - his 15th.
An All-Ireland winner with the Tribesmen in 1998 and 2001, Joyce will be an inspirational presence in the dressing-room as the westerners try to bring as many of last year's U21 team as possible into the senior team.
Having put his Achilles problem behind him, Joyce will take part in an intensive fitness programme over the next few weeks and will soon return to county training. He could feature in the latter stages of the league.
