Fixtures CCC

(Oldest Posts First)

Ah come on Hughie - ye can't be serious saying this! The relegation play-off games are a month after the teams were knocked out. No football matches for a further month after also not having a game for 2.5 months during the summer. Is there any reason why they couldn't have been played this weekend?

Solano, hard to disagree with you here. An absolute farce in how our illustrious county board have managed the fixtures again this year. In a small county with fewer than 20 clubs and only 2 divisions it beggars belief to see how poorly managed this is year in and year out.

I await the responses of 'Well why don't you do it and do a better job' but I will remind you of the prevalent in house politics of which clubs should be best represented on the county board. Another farce in what is an totally inept county board.

The League still has 4 rounds to run before we get to the knock out stages of it and that isn't going to be played until at least mid October.

This year is a write off for many clubs, The league should just be scrapped, no relegation promote 2 teams from div 2 and play a 12 team div 1 next year to resolve this farce that the county board have created. no one wants to be playin club league football in November and december

Have to agree with manowar finish all the championships games, scrap the rest of the league and start next year with the same standings as this year. No promotion or relegations this year. No one has any interest in the rest of this years league. Who knows when it might be finished? If ever!! Big changes are needed for next year full stop.

Beggers belief that extra time was not played yesterday in either of the above mentioned games. The most simplistic soloution to 'unforseen' circumstances was unfortunately overlooked.

Have to agree with the last two posters. A total farce once again in the re fixing of these games. Does any knew if any of the teams who lose out in the intermediate play offs they will be playing junior championship next year. Does this mean you would have two teams in the junior championship? ie your 'senior' who has got relegated and your 'junior' team will they in the same competition?

Awh Gola, you have a lack of knowledge. Junior championship and Reserve Championship are seperate comeptitons. You would hardly have the same club in both comps. Its been a long year for Fermanagh GAA and CCC have had a hard job to do. Easy for us to sit hear and give out. Club meetings every Month and AGM is where we should be.

VODAFONE, catch yourself on. We have a county board totally unable to operate at any level. How can you suggest it has been a tough year. 2 divisions and fewer than 20 clubs in the county. This should be a simple thing to manage.

Wouldn't want to be at Solano's end of year meeting though. Sounds messy!

VODAFONE, You're not living in the real world here! .. From the 1st League game there has been 25 weeks past in which there have been about 10/12 Senior football matches! .. How can this be!???!

For rent around 20 good fields with carpet like grass, little used this year. Should suit sheep farming as all fields are fenced! Its possible the rent could be extended to next year as well! Contact the fixtures committee ASAP.

Disgraceful treatment on club players again by the County Board, only releasing times and venues for Reserve Championship finals 3 days in advance. Their actions have no bounds. Voluntary job - yes. But if you can't do it don't sign up and say you can.

Nobby, I think the reserve finals are off as the same teams are playing the the senior final sunday after the postponement last week due to the bad news in the harps club
