Reilly blow for Fermanagh

September 23, 2016

The dressingrooms of Devenish St Mary's in Fermanagh were broken into recently.

The Fermanagh county board are on the look out for a new minor football manager following Keith Reilly's decision to step down from the position.

Reilly had spent two years in the role and although the Erne County lost to Antrim in each of the two Ulster MFC clashes that he was involved in, it was widely regarded that the Maguiresbridge man had made positive steps with the county.

However, he explained to the Fermanagh Herald his reasons for stepping down from the position.

"I let the county board know last night (Monday). I'm mainly stepping down for family and personal reasons," said Reilly who added that it was not an easy role to fulfil.

"One of the most frustrating things in my time was the lack of contact time. When you had access to the players they were great to work with. But a lot of players had other pressures on their time from other GAA teams and other sports and interests that made it difficult to get a clear run at things. The time I had with the players I really enjoyed."
