With 3-10 from three games to his name, Fermanagh's Sean Quigley is looking to continue his rich vein of scoring form against Cavan in tonight's McKenna Cup semi-final.

"Playing Cavan is a local derby and we are looking forward to it and we can only take positives from getting a game like that," he remarked to The Irish News.

"The McKenna Cup is a stepping stone towards the League and we are glad to be in the semi-final and hopefully we can push on for the final."

The Ernesiders' full-forward agrees that a repeat of their first-half performance against Donegal - they trailed by seven points at the break - would spell trouble for their chances of overcoming the Breffni County.

"We need to be playing for 70 minutes against the likes of Donegal, Tyrone, Cavan, every team in fact because it's so competitive in the League and Championship.

"We really are going to have to knuckle down and have no more repeats of first halves like that.

"You want to be competitive against these boys but you want to be more than that, you want to be beating them.

"We put in a great second-half performance against Donegal, and we could have won, but at the end of the day we got beaten, and while there were positives that we could take, we would really want to be beating those boys."
