There will be a wholesale changes to the Fermanagh senior football squad in 2015, with manager Pete McGrath vowing to bring in 14 new players.

As he faces into his second season at the Ernemen's helm, the Down legend says his hand is being forced and that he must unearth new blood in the face of a raft of retirements and unavailabilities due to work commitments:

"I've lost quite a few," the two-times All-Ireland-winning manager notes in The Irish News. "I saw a lot of club football this summer at all levels; senior and intermediate. We've held a number of trials over the last number of weeks as well.

"So we are looking at a panel with 14 new faces from that of last year. We have lost a number of people from last year; a number have retired.

"Obviously, Barry Owens is one. Tommy McElroy, Eamon Maguire, also John Woods is unavailable for the coming season due to work commitments, Brian Cox - again because of work commitments.

"So it is a case of a number of experienced men leaving and we have to prop up the panel with people who are untested at this level."
