Fermanagh's John Duffy
Doing your cruciate ligament is a GAA players nightmare. To do two in the space of five years must be unmanageable. John Duffy who captained the Fermanagh hurlers last year is once again on the road to recovery after picking up the injury last year. "As soon as it happened I knew exactly what I done. I missed the vast majority of last years club football and hurling action"

The Fermanagh hurlers had to do without John throughout the league campaign this year however John was impressed with the attitude of the panel thus far "there are plenty of young players now maturing. The likes of Tommy Cleary and the younger brother Barry have been a fantastic addition to the panel this year. I am hoping to be fit for the Lory Meagher which begins in May. I have been putting a lot of hard work in over the last 3 months and hopefully it will pay of in time"

John is eager to see the further development of the game withing Fermanagh. During his time off he has been involved with coaching the underage Lisbelaw team "we have a great bunch of young hurlers in the club at present, I really think they are going places. I am also delighted to hear new clubs within the county developing this hopefully in time will improve hurling right throughout the county"

Fermanagh hurlers will be now preparing for the Lory Meagher tournament which begins in May.
