Fermanagh forward Eimear Smyth has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for February.

Eimear has been in magnificent form for Fermanagh to date in the 2024 Lidl National League – with the Erne County through to a Division 4 semi-final meeting with Carlow on Sunday March 24.

Fermanagh completed their group phase of the campaign unbeaten and with 19 points from a possible 21 on offer.

They have promotion firmly in their sights and 23-year-old Eimear, from the Derrygonnelly Harps club, has been central to their efforts.

During the month of February, free-scoring Eimear collected 4-17 from just three outings against Leitrim, Kilkenny and Limerick.

Eimear notched 1-7 in victory over Leitrim, 3-3 in the win against Kilkenny, and 0-7 as Fermanagh got the better of Limerick. Her current Division 4 running total ahead of the semi-final against Carlow is a remarkable 7-55, and she scored ten points against Derry last Sunday.

Eimear, a previous award winner for the month of May 2019, was presented with her February 2024 award by Edele O’Reilly, Director of Sales and Marketing, The Croke Park Hotel.
