Fermanagh manager Rory Gallagher has revealed that the aim in the league is to pick up as many points as they can.

A last gasp Conall Jones point earned Fermanagh a share of the spoils against Cork in their NFL 2 opener at Brewster Park last Sunday.

Gallagher rued a number of misses opportunities that his side had during the game, but quickly moved on to set his sights on the remainder of the campaign.

And he told the Fermanagh Herald that their target is still the same, get enough points to avoid relegation and hopefully be in the hunt for promotion.

Gallagher said: “Every game is a step up for us this year. People ask you what your hopes are for the year.

“The hopes remain the same, you want to stay up and if you’re doing alright, you want to get up, that’s no different.”

This weekend, Fermanagh make the long journey south to take on Tipperary at Semple Stadium. The Premier County will be keen to pick up a win having lost their opener to Meath last Sunday.
