Breslin welcomes Lory challenge

Fermanagh's Andrew Breslin is hoping they can make amends for their poor NHL form and have a good run in the Lory Meagher Cup.

The Erne County lost all four of their NHL 3B games including to Saturday's opponents Cavan. The sides meet at the weekend at Brewster Park which is the curtainraiser to the Ulster SFC clash between the home county and Armagh.

Breslin revealed to the Fermanagh Herald that the squad have been training hard since the end of the league and the experienced hurler feels they are in a good place heading into the championship.

"We're very much looking forward to taking part in the Lory Meagher competition. The squad has been training hard and we're looking forward to the upcoming games," said Breslin.

"It's great that the GPA and the GAA have come together this year to promote and support these important competitions that will showcase great hurling at venues around the country.

"I hope our supporters take every chance to come see us play over the coming weeks."
