It was a huge night in the national football league, with holders Dublin traveling to Castlebar to face Connacht champions Mayo.

The Dubs were already up and running after their victory over Kerry last Saturday night, while Mayo were bidding to bounce back from their heavy defeat in Cork.

There were also two matches in Division Two tonight: Armagh and Laois collided at the Athletic Grounds, both seeking their first win of the campaign, while Cavan entertained Ulster rivals Derry.
