Heartbreak for Erin Go Bragh as they exit the C Championship

September 15, 2014

That winning poster.

The under 15 footballers were beaten by the narrowest of margins - one point, on a scoreline of 3-8 to 2-12 in a thrilling game against Division 4 side St Pats of Palmerstown in the first round of the C Championship. The game which was played at a frentic pace was very close throughout with poll position changing continuously. St Pats can count themselves lucky that their keeper was in flying form taking off three top draw saves.

EGB played with bite, determination and passion with some wonderful passages of play. Very hard to pick a player of the match simply because they all played at 110%. The new management team of Pat Murphy and Barney Reilly could not have asked for more from their charges. They still have plenty to play for despite exiting the championship and now enter the shield competition. Training continues and new players are welcome. Call George on 0879799795 for more.

Team: D Hand, F Johnson, C Kenny, C O'Grady, L Crowe, B O'Sullivan, C Burke (0-3), S Edgely (0-1), R Kavanagh (0-1), C Uzell (2-1), S Byrne (1-1), D O'Carroll, C O'Brien, S Kenny (0-1)  Subs S Harkinson.

Congratulations to Gemma Padden who won our Design our flyer competition a few months back. The winning flyer is pictured below and I think you'll agree that a lot of time and effort went into this fantastic design. The flyer and posters have been printed and will go out soon. We will also post up some of the other entries which impressed the judges soon.
