Highlights at the Summer Scheme last week were the visit by Aunt Sandra's Chocolate Factory, the trip to Dublin Zoo and the kids Kingdom's Got Talent.

 

The U12 Football An Riocht v Annaclone was played in glorious conditions on a freshly cut pitch on Wednesday at Dunavil and our boys came out the right side of a 8-12 to 4-6 score line.

Team: Shane Kelly, Jack McDonald, Mark McVeigh, Tyler Shepcar, Mathew McCartan, Reece Curran, Lorcan Donnan, Cameron Gribben, Darragh McAlinden, Eoin Sloan, Ben Matthews, Oran McAleenan, Luke Quinn, Cormac McConville, Kian Sloan, Daegan Cordell, Zac Curran.

Then at the Sunday game Warrenpoint proved a bit too strong winning by 6-13 to 4-10.

 

An Riocht took part in the Down Og Sport in Downpatrick on Sunday.

 

At the U16 Football in Glenn, An Riocht lost 3-13 to 3-4

 

In Senior Football An Riocht beat Drumaness by 2-19 to 2-9.

At the P1/P2, P3/P4 & P5/P6 Camogie Blitzes in Kilcoo, An Riocht had teams at each age group. Team 'A': Annie Cordell, Eimear Sloan, Ciara Fearon, Cara O'Neill, Aoife Maginn, Skyler White; Team 'B' Annie McAleenan, Annalise White, Ellie Alexander, Caoimhe Hynds, Cliona Finnegan, Nicole Curran, Eireann Higgins-Phillips; Team 'C' Lauren Marsh, Rachel Clarke, Aoife Rooney, Niamh Maginn, Ellie Morgan, Emma Harper, Caitlin Harper, Cerys Finnegan. Thanks to those who gave up their day to take the girls away.

 

An Riocht took part in the Ellen Finnegan U12 Camogie tournament in Castlewellan playing games with Bredagh, Kilcoo, Ballygalget and Liatroim before exiting in the semi-final of the Shield.

 

The Senior Camogs are looking sponsors for kit ahead of the Intermediate Final on 17th September, time is short so if you can help in any way tell one of the girls or let the club know asap, thank you.

 

Ahead of the Camogie Final there will be a night at the club from 7pm on Wednesday 7th September to make headbands, wristbands and flags, everyone is welcome to come along and get into the spirit of the occasion.

 

Raffle Tickets are on sale for a weekend for two in Dublin for the All Ireland Football Final, £2 each or 3 for £5, from any footballer or committee member.

 

The Carmel Doran Memorial Cup Recreational Camogie 7-a-side Tournament & JG Donnan Memorial Cup Recreational Football 7-a-side Tournament will take place at Dunavil on Saturday 1st October as part of a Club Day which begins in the morning with a juvenile camogie and football sponsored walk around the grounds followed by fun and games, then the camogie and football sevens and at 4pm the final home senior football match v Liatroim. There will be hot food, tea and coffee available all day.

 

The semi-final of the Intermediate Football Championship v Darragh Cross is at 6pm on Sunday 11th September in Pairc Esler.
