Down SFC: champions into last four

Kilcoo remain on course for a four-in-a-row of Down football titles after coming from six points down to edge out Burren at Pairc Esler on Saturday night.

Donal O'Hare's first half penalty helped Burren to a 1-9 to 1-3 lead after 38 minutes, but the champions took control after that and snatched a 2-7 to 1-9 victory thanks to Darragh O'Hanlon's late penalty.

The Magpies are joined in the semi-finals by Castlewellan and Mayobridge. Castlewellan were comfortable 0-20 to 2-6 winners over Cumann Pheadair Naofa at Pairc Esler on Saturday night, while Benny Coulter scored 1-1 from midfield as Mayobridge put Liatroim to the sword on a 3-11 to 1-3 scoreline in Castlewellan last night.

The last of the quarter-finals will take place at Pairc Esler tonight when Rostrevor square up to Ballyholland.
