Jim McCorry is believed to be considering his position as Down football manager, just a month after he received the backing of clubs to continue.

Gaelic Life magazine is reporting that the Armagh man is unhappy that a number of issues have not being addressed by the Down executive, who he met this week. It's understood that the Down players are eager to see him remain at the helm.

Despite leading the team to Division 1 of the Allianz League last spring, McCorry's future with the Mourne County came under threat after a disappointingly early championship exit at the hands of Wexford. 

However, clubs went against the management committee's recommendation that he should be removed by voting in favour of retaining his services for another year last month.
