National Feile 2015 - took place last weekend. Our club welcomed Cappamore Camogs from Limerick and Kilconieron hurlers from Galway. A massive thank you to all families hosting any of the visiting players or coaches. Without this, it wouldn't be possible to host the Feile. Thanks for all the support given to the girls and boys. Enjoyment was the most important thing to take from this weekend. Friends and memories were made. There was disappointment all round as both our teams were defeated in the quarter finals on Saturday. Everyone in the club are proud of your great efforts, talents and discipline. Keep your heads held high and be proud. This is all part of a learning process, and will make everyone stronger and better players for the future. There will be many more years of pulling on the blue and gold jersey. So keep working hard, training and listening to your coaches. Well done to all. Thanks to all the managers and coaches. Up the Ports. Our visiting Camogs, Cappamore were beat in extra time in the quarter final, commiserations to them. Congrats and well done to our visiting hurlers, Kilconieron who won the Div 3 Hurling Cup, defeating St Martins, Kilkenny 2-07 to 1-01. It's a squad game, but to pick 1 player out it would be Sean Connaughton, a great young player and top scorer, surely a name to watch for in the future. Everyone in Portaferry GAC are delighted for your lads and wish your team well for the future. Keep up the good work.
A massive THANK YOU  to anyone who helped out in any capacity over the National Feile weekend, I will not mention names as I could leave someone out.
