Annual Dinner Dance

The club held its annual dinner dance on Saturday night and for the first time ever it took place in our own clubhouse. The evening began with a beautiful hot and cold buffet supplied by Brenda Lynch and the club would like to thank Brenda and her staff for their excellent service. The meal was followed by the presentation of the annual club awards which began with our special guest Owen Reel presenting our senior ladies with their Division 2 league winners' medals and our minor ladies with their championship winning medals. The individual ladies awards went to:

Jessica Watters - Minor Player of the Year

Cliodhna Sloan - Most Committed Footballer of the Year

Blaithin Mackin - Senior Player of the Year

Special awards were also presented to Aimee Mackin, Blaithin Mackin and Louise Kenny in recognition of their Ulster Colleges All-Stars.

Next up were the men and the awards went to:

Donal Austin - Minor Player of the Year

Ryan McCabe - Senior Player of the Year

The presentation then moved onto the annual club awards:

Raymie Carroll - Hall of Fame

Michelle Osborne - Club-Person of the Year

A special presentation was made to our long standing club chairman John McLoughlin in recognition of his 30 years' service to Shane O'Neills.

After the completion of the awards brilliant local musician Daragh McNulty took to the stage for a couple of hours before being followed by a disco which saw everyone having a great night's craic. The club would like to thank everyone who attended the event and to everyone who helped out in anyway, including decorating the club, which went a long way to ensuring that it was a very successful night.
