2015 SCÓR NA nÓG
CLONDUFF AWARDED CATHAL SANDS MEMORIAL CUP FOR  SCÓR na nÓG!
As the only Club in South Down - indeed the whole of the County - with competitors in every single competition, Clonduff picked up the Cathal Sands Memorial Cup at the South Down Finals on Sunday 23rd November. The Cup was presented to Clonduff's hardworking Cultural Officer Jimmie Cousins by Mairead Sheppard. Clonduff had Ceili Dancing, two Solo Singers, two Reciters, Instrumental Music, Leíruí, Ballad Group and Set Dancing in the early rounds and three Quiz teams in the Table Quiz on Friday night.
Clonduff were represented in six of the seven finals on Sunday evening and enjoyed success in Solo Singing, Leíruí and Set Dancing as runners up in each and now progress to the County Finals in St Colman's College Newry on Sunday 30th November commencing at 1.30pm. They narrowly missed out with Ballad Group coming a close third but with only two places in the final at stake they were unlucky. (The County Final of the Table Quiz will take place in early January).
Many thanks to the children and to all those who helped prepare the youngsters taking them to this level and best wishes to the County Finalists next Sunday.
CLONDUFF YOUNGSTERS ARE SOUTH DOWN SCÓR NA NÓG 2015QUIZ CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the twelve  Clonduff youngsters, representing three teams, who took part in the South Down Scór na nÓg Table Quiz on Friday 21st November 2014 and walked away with both winners and runners up medals! The boys and girls have been attending weekly practice sessions since early September and their hard work and commitment paid off.
Their next outing is the County Quiz which will take place in early January 2015. The winner of that goes forward to the All Ireland Final in The City West Hotel, Dublin on 14th February 2015.

FOOTBALL
U21 FOOTBALLERS PROGRESS
Having made hard work of the game last week losing to Newry Shamrocks, Clonduff found themselves in a three-way play-off for second position in the table and faced the same opposition again on Sunday 23rd November in Mayobridge for the right to play to other second placed team, Rostrevor. The Yellas made a good start to the game and led by six points at half time. The second half was more competitive but Clonduff won the game on a  scoreline of 2-9 to 1-7.
Best wishes for speedy recovery to Shay Murnin who sustained what appeared to be a serious knee injury early in the game - hopefully it is not as bad as it appeared.

MORE ACCOLADES FOR CLONDUFF CAMOGS!
Heartiest Congratulations to Alastair McGilligan who picked up the 'Manager of the Year' Awards at the NWP Ulster Camogie Awards in Kelly's Inn, Garvaghey, Co Tyrone on Saturday night 22nd November. Alastair steered the Down Camogie team to All Ireland victory in September. Also present at the Awards were representatives of Clonduff Camogs who are the current Ulster Intermediate Champions.
At the Down Camogie Convention on Sunday 23rd November, Clonduff were awarded 'Club of the Year' for the ninth time! This was not only recognition for winning the Ulster title, but also because of the number of Clonduff people involved in the County, Provincial and National Boards. Well done to all concerned!
