Glasdrumman club notes

October 13, 2014

The under 11s had their last game of the season at home on Sunday morning and with some brilliant passing of the ball and excellent teamwork they recorded a convincing win. This brought the team their 3rd win out of 4 games and resulted in them being presented with league runner up medals.  This was a just reward for this young team who gave 100% at each training session and during every game.  Training is now finished for this season and will re-commence early in the new year in preparation for the under 12 league.  The mentors would like to thank all the parents for their help and support throughout the year and also to the players who gave a good account of themselves every week.
The under 13s also won their last home game on Saturday bringing their total to 4 wins out of 5.  Well done to all!
A child protection course will take place in Glasdrumman GAC clubrooms on Monday 10th November from 7pm until 10pm.  Anyone wishing to avail of this training should contact Catherine Kelly or any committee member or youth committee member before this date.  This training is open to both new and existing youth club volunteers or football mentors.
Youth club continues this Friday night and it promises to be a fun filled session.  The 1st group (7pm until 8pm) will be making haloween lanterns while the 2nd group (8pm until 9.15pm) will be doing Glasdrummans very own version of "I'm a celebrity get me out of here!"
We are now taking orders for the new half zip top.  Please contact Catherine, Jen or any committee member to place your order before the 31st October.
The committee and members of Glasdrumman  G.A.C  express  our deepest condolences  to  the McDowell  family and extended family circle  on the  sudden death of  Jackie . Go nDeanai Dia  trocaire ar a anam  uasail dhilis .
