St Johns Club notes

August 18, 2014
The Seniors secured a 2-12 to 1-7 win over Teconnaught in Downpatrick on Saturday in their second group game of the Trocaire Intermediate Football Championship. Their third and final group game is against Glasdrumman in Mayobridge on Saturday 23 August at 5.30pm.

The Reserves make the short journey to Dundrum on Sunday evening with the game having a 6.00pm start.

The Minors were back in action when they travelled to Clann Na Derg on Tuesday 19 August in the quarter final stages of the knock-out plate competition. Score details in next weeks notes.

The Under 14s secured a walkover against Darragh Cross last Monday in the East Down Under 14 C championship. On Monday 18 August they travelled to play Drumaness. Score details in next weeks notes. In the following weeks they then face Teconnaught (home) and Bright (away).

The Johnnies Under 12s played Kilclief on Sunday in the East Down Summer League and have come out on top again on a 4-12 to 2-6 scoreline. The heavy showers and windy conditions did not effect the fine performances by Amy, Ryan and Oran.  Aron Kelly, Eoign and Conor  McMullan gave everything and Adam McCourt slotted in well for Daire Cahill who had to come off injured. This was a great team effort  and shows what a great  panel this group of boys and girls are. On Sunday 24 August they are away to Dundrum.
