Kingdom Men’s Shed had a delegation at the Irish Men’s Shed Showcase Event at Stormont. There were over 150 men from 40 Men’s Sheds across Northern Ireland at Stormont to meet, exchange ideas and hear Eddie Lynch, Commissioner for Older People speak about the important role he sees for sheds in an ever-increasing population of older people. Kingdom Men’s Shed are off to Cork on 24th, 25th & 26th September.

 

At the Senior Gaelic in Bredagh, An Ríocht lost by 1-15 to 0-12.

 

The u14 footballers have reached the ‘B’ Final beating Clonduff 4-7 to 1-9 in the semis.

 

At the Kilmacud Camogie Sevens An Ríocht were in a group with Carnmore from Galway, Whitegate from Clare and Burgess/Duharra from Tipperary, winning one of our three matches. It was an opportunity to see up close the strength of camogie in traditional counites and just how far we still have to go if we are to be competitive.

 

The last u6, u8 and u10 Camogie Blitzes will take place in Ballela at 11am on Sunday 29th September.

 

KYC had a team in It’s a Knockout at the Esplanade on Saturday, well done to all who participated and thanks to the youth workers for giving up their Saturday afternoon.

 

Kingdom Youth Club Re-opens for the Autumn on Monday 16 September. Kingdom Youth Club Open Night is 7pm to 9pm on Friday 13th September, come on out and meet our Youth Support Workers, view our refurbished facilities, chat about our programmes taking place over the next six weeks. Volunteering opportunities exist at Kingdom Youth Club; we are registered with Volunteer Now & Millennium Volunteers, please call in to learn more.

 

The world famous Fureys – Sweet Sixteen, Green Fields of France, Red Rose Café – will be appearing at An Ríocht on Friday 15th October, tickets going fast.

 

 

An Ríocht AGM is on Thursday 7th November.

 

An Ríocht Annual Awards will take place in February.

 

Kingdom Lotto recruiting checkers for a rota, can you give 2 hours once a month on a Monday 7pm to 9pm, if so, see any committee member.

 

Following on from the Senior Footballers success in reaching their first Kilmacud All Ireland Sevens Final, they have dominated the 2019 All Star Football Team based on collated stats from the knockout stages of the tournament, quarterfinals to final. Individual player performances were measured using a consistent set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Kickouts, Attacks, Shots from Play, Scoreable Frees, Turnovers, Frees Conceded, Bookings and Possessions Lost. An Ríocht took five of the ten places available with Conor Clarke, Deaglan Morgan and Ronan Campbell making the starting seven and Conor Cole and Ronan McAlinden two of the three stand-by players.
