Termon GAA Minor Board in association with Kelly's CENTRA Mountain Top Letterkenny

Only now are we getting over the disappointment of Saturday's County final losses. Our U14 boys probably deserved more for their efforts but could not register the scores in the first half that ultimately cost them. A few goal line stops by the Glenfin goalkeeper and his defenders allowed them lead by 3 at half time. They stretched that to 6 early in the second half but the Termon boys took control to score 6 unanswered points to leave the teams level with only minutes to go. With neither team adding to the scoreboard it was going to take extra time to decide the winners. A superb goal from full forward Manus O 'Connell gave our boys the edge with 5 minutes to play but Glenfin through two late frees were the winners. Congrats to Glenfin. A massive hard luck to our boys who ran themselves in to the ground and were a credit in how they played the game, hugely positive, disciplined yet strong when needed and with a work rate any manager would be proud of. Thanks to Paddy Mc Menamin for his commitment to these boys since February, they were as well prepared as any team could be. Thanks also to Hugh Brendan and Eddie and maybe next year we will have an u15 competition to keep this bunch of boys together. We can not finish without thanking the huge support that really got behind the team from the 1st to the 100th minute.

Following the U14 final our Minor boys took to O 'Donnell Park for their Div 2 County final with Milford. Great first half goals from Sean Mc Nulty and Shane Doherty gave our boys a 3 point lead at the break. The loss of Oisin Cassidy through injury was a major factor as his direct running had Milford under pressure but a few excellent long distance scores saw Milford take home the title. Congrats Milford. A huge thanks to these boys for their efforts and again in a hugely disciplined performance coaches Benny Gallagher and Paul Doherty will look back with pride on how their team played in the recent weeks. After 16 years of service at  Minor Board level coaches Benny and Paul and their hard working wives Deirdre and Margo have now completed their Minor Board service. A huge thanks to the 4 of them for their positive impact on so many lives on and off the field, thank you from everyone on our Minor Board.

With little time to prepare it's now time for the U13s to get their competition up and running. An away trip to Mac Cumhaill Park this Sunday is first up, throw in at 6.30, come along and support the boys.

Our U13 B team played Glenswilly on Sunday evening last in an entertaining game. A really worth while run out for the boys who although they did not win will have gained a lot from the game. Best were Gary Mc Gettigan, Stephen Lee Dohert,y Oisin Farrell and Cian Mc Menamin. Next up for these boys is a home game on Friday with Lifford. Boys to be there at 6pm for 6.30 throw in.

Our U16 boys resume their NRB Div 1 Championship campaign when they take on Convoy in their rearranged game later this week. More details at training tomorrow night. Good luck boys and hopefully this team can build on their last game which was a superb performance against St Eunans

Our U10 boys and girls continue their coaching this Saturday 10.30 sharp. Bring gumshield and suitable clothing and gloves.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped with our U 10 girls' blitz on a Saturday last.  Thanks to the parents for the much appreciated refreshments and for the great support they gave their girls.  Despite the rain the girls were superb and really enjoyed the games with Downings Gaoth Dobhair and St Eunans.
