Rory Kavanagh won't make a decision on his Donegal future until the New Year.

The 34-year-old, who became a father for a second time last month, previously announced his inter-county retirement in January 2015, only to return to the panel 12 months later. Colm McFadden and Eamon McGee have already confirmed their retirements since Donegal's season ended with an All-Ireland SFC quarter-final defeat to Dublin, with Kavanagh, Neil Gallagher and Christy Toye still to confirm their intentions for 2017.

"I've spoken to Rory (Gallagher) and I've told him I'm not in a position to give a full commitment just yet," the St. Eunan's clubman told the Donegal Democrat.

"I'll leave it until after Christmas and the New Year and make my decision then."
