Donegal chairman Patsy McGowan supports Jim McGuinness' snub of TG4.
The Donegal manager refused to speak to the Irish language broadcaster after Sunday's win over Cork in Ballybofey and McGowan thinks his anger with TG4 goes back to last month when McGuinness was interviewed ahead of the Laois game in Letterkenny.
Kevin Cassidy was working as a pundit with TG4 that day and the reporter, Micheal Ó Domhnaill, questioned McGuinness on the Cassidy situation - while the axed player was standing alongside him:
"I'm surmising but I would imagine it was the displeasure at how they conducted an interview with Jim alongside Kevin Cassidy at the Laois game when the pair of them were standing adjacent to each other," McGowan says in the Examiner.
"Micheal Ó Domhnaill asked him about their relationship, which was totally unprofessional. I was shocked to see the interview take place like that.
"We're trying to keep a lid on things but certain elements in the media have taken on this issue. The matter has been dealt with. I fully support what they're doing. TG4 were out of line."
