Letterkenny Gaels club notes

The senior and reserve footballers had victories over Naomh Padraig, Uisce Chaoin and MacCumhaills respectively on Saturday evening. This weekend the senior footballers are away to Moville on Friday at 6.30pm and then welcome Naomh Padraig, Lifford to Páirc na nGael on Easter Sunday at 3pm. All support welcome for both games.

The reserves have no games.

The senior hurlers welcomed Carndonagh to the Glebe on Sunday afternoon for their third game of the Junior Hurling League. This was another great experience for the team with the visitors taking the victory.

The Drama Group’s journey came to an end last Saturday when they bowed out of the All Ireland finals of Scór Sinsir in Castlebar. Our Club members did themselves, their families and all in our Club proud. Well done all and we are looking forward to seeing you all on stage again soon.

Gaeltacht Scholarships for Club Members

* CLG Dhún na nGall will provide six (6) part scholarships to the value of €250.00 each to members of GAA clubs in the county who will be attending Irish language colleges in the county in 2019.

* Completed application forms must be returned to Fergus McGee (Oifigeach Chultúrtha agus teanga CLG Dhún na nGall) on or before Friday 26th April * Please send the completed application forms by e-mail to [email protected] or by post to Fergus McGee 43 Lisnennan Court, Letterkenny to arrive no later that the 26th April. Underage ladies football training continues every Friday night from 7-8pm at the Aura. All players who played underage last year welcome. €3 per session. New players very welcome too.

Camogie training will resume at the pitch this Friday evening at 6.15pm and continue during the summer months. New members are always welcome.

The U-14 hurlers lost out to Setanta at home last Thursday evening. This week the lads have two games against McCumhaills and Burt.

Underage hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues outdoors at Páirc na nGael every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. All welcome. Hurls and helmets can be borrowed.

Under 6, 8 and 10 Underage football training continues every Sunday at Páirc na nGael at 11am. New children are welcome to join. Anyone interested should contact John McDermott (086) 856 1768 or Brian Sweeney (087) 228 2386 for any age group. 

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure in Letterkenny are currently stocking Club gear which includes replica jerseys, training tops, jackets, bobble hats, scarfs etc.

Bingo continues every Monday in the Arena 7. The Jackpot stands at €9150.
