Donegal's Morrison fractures ankle

Donegal's Conor Morrison and Darren McCurry of Tyrone chase possession during the McKenna Cup final at the Athletic Grounds

Donegal will be without defender Conor Morrison for the next six to eight weeks.

The Donegal News reports that Morrison fractured his ankle in training at the weekend, having been an unused substitute in the win over Kildare in Ballyshannon on Sunday afternoon.

The luckless St Eunan's clubman already suffered a concussion earlier this season but recovered to make his first appearance in 2018 for the Tir Chonaill men in their McKenna Cup final victory over Tyrone last Saturday night week.

It means that he'll miss the remainder of the National League campaign as he looks to recover in time for his county's Ulster SFC opener against Cavan on May 13th.
