Crozier embraces final position

Derry manager Paddy Crozier was fulsome in his praise of his charges' achievement in shooting all 2-12 of their winning tally from play in last night's (Wednesday) Dr. McKenna Cup semi-final win over Fermanagh. "That's very pleasing, for we have had a lot of injuries, and some of the boys did very well," a delighted Crozier said after the match. "Collie Devlin scored a brilliant goal in the first half to give us a good platform at half-time. We went into the start of the McKenna Cup to see if we could unearth a couple or three players to take us into the League, and hopefully we have done that. But it's good to be in a final. "We sat back on the lead and they came back at us and scored a rather unfortunate goal and went a point down. "But fair play to the forwards they got us back into it and a great move was finished by Raymond Wilkinson and gave us the platform to go on."
