Club launches second annual golf day to raise club funds
Derry club Ballerin GAC is calling all keen golfers in the Garvagh and surrounding area to hit the links and support their second annual golf day on Friday 23rd May 2014.

The event, once again sponsored by leading waste management company RiverRidge Recycling, will take place at the Roe Park Resort Limavady and will raise funds to help the rural club with running costs and coaching requirements for its 400 members.

Pascal Hull from the organising committee said, "This year we celebrate 70 years since the foundation of the club in 1944. We've come a long way since then and now offer a range of Gaelic Games including Gaelic Football, Camogie and Ladies Football to some 400 club members. This of course takes time and more importantly money and we are delighted to have the support of RiverRidge Recycling as we seek to raise funds to keep providing high quality facilites and coaching to all members of the community keen to enjoy both the sporting and non-sporting activites available at the club."

Entry to the four ball competition costs £120 and includes a goody bag as well as prize giving and entertainment to cap of the day at the Ballerin GAA Clubrooms.

Brett Ross, Managing Director, RiverRidge Reycling said, "We had a fantastic day last year both on the course and at the prize giving and it was an easy decision to come back on board as main sponsor for the club's golf day.As a company we see the benefit of being part of such a tight knit community and the work that Ballerin GAC does to promote social inclusion and develop community relations within the area is to be commended. Hopefully the weather is as good to us this year and we can raise funds to help ensure that club has another successful 70 years."

Ringsend-based RiverRidge Recycling is one of the leading waste management companies in the North West providing a full range of waste management services.
