Armagh is a disgrace booing and jeering off the field and simulating and sledging on the field. I'll be shouting for anybody that plays them anymore disgusting. Lads in the crowd who won't even remember the game

My oh my that junior club didn't cover themselves at all they made fools of themselves, granted what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch but it's what came after, the manager shouldering lads and the the glasses lad come on, better team won.

Replying To minor77:  "Sean Kelly was brilliant I'm a neutral but the referee didn't give Sean any protection a couple of very late and dirty hits should have been picked up on one in particular right in front of the linesman"
MM have a history of being fairly nasty, but sean and co gave them their place today, what a player just at it from the first minute.

Replying To Pullin.lambs1:  "Playing injured players definitely but playing retired players didn't help a whole pile on the pitch but it had a positive impact in the dressing room. It's worrying for a number of years that there is such a high number players opting out of the squad. A lot of these lads had success at underage."
Games aren't won in the dressing room. Younger lads giving it all got the cut for a retiree not good enough

Wonder is there a timeline on mullens injury. GAA as a whole should see the best in the country playing at present and Mullen is there, god Id love to see o hora, keegan, hesion, fb line, durkin, Mullen and mcgloughlin (coen to go 6 and mullen on the wing if mcg isn't back, crazy suicide pass by the way only ever going to end one way) that is some unit blessed with pace and bite, looking like Kerry so yee will need a plan for all 6 but shea and Cliffords are what make them tick. For the betterment of the sport please god let Mayo win yee have brought so much to so many for so long would love to see boyle lift sam

Replying To Sportsfanatic90:  "Been to 2 games at weekend caherlistrane loss and oughterard loss. Surprised just how poor the strane where in the second half much too reliant on 12 and darcy, think they'll struggle. The oughterard game today, very poor game management by them, at one stage they led by 7 and let spiddal back in, for a county player Matthew was very average he had a few lockable frees and either went for a short pass or kicked it wide they should be absolutely kicking themselves, the likes of carraroe will chew them up"
Might I add was great to see antoine lee come in and stick a penalty with confidence after a serious injury it's the first championship game he's played all year and showed great leadership to demand to take the penalty, and the sweeneys Trojan warriors for their club having both injury concerns throughout the year fair play to them all

Replying To greenfan:  "I think he felt mckaigue's foul wasn't a deliberate pull down. Strange not to give a black card, the foul was outside the penalty area, but it was deemed a penalty because he denied a goal scoring opportunity. Surely that's a cynical foul and should be a black! O'Donnell got the black card for verbal abuse of the ref."
I'm a fan of that ref but felt he was very picky on Donegal whereas Derry got off a bit but fair play it didn't stop yee. Tougher tests to come so stay grounded and here's hoping jimmy gets yee the Ulster this year, weary of Tyrone they always get up for yee boys assuming the get over Cavan.

Replying To AnCrúiscínLán:  "It's not all doom and gloom. We won a lot of league matches and earned promotion. I'd be hoping for Gallagher and Culhane to come through. I'd love to see the sawdoctors play before the match in Castlebar. A rousing rendition of "Joyce Country Ceili Band" before throw-in would gee-up the players and supporters no end...."Tommy K, Tommy K,....""
Culhane? Are you serious, the lad is not a senior IC forward and way off, very exposed during the u20 game

From a neutral POV it's an absolute disgrace the booing and jeering from Armagh is totally uncalled for and humiliating. I'd have shouted for them in the past but never again in this championship I'll actually be shouting for whoever plays them, you'd swear they earned the right to jeer haven't done much ever. Croogan sledging fullback simulating you would t see Kerry Dublin at that nonsense

Replying To galwayfball:  "I actually dont wish O Hora well. I have now seen what he did to Shane Walsh. Absolute disgraceful behaviour and I'd hope none of you would defend it."
I wish o hora a speedy recovery his tackling and aggression was a joy to watch, that is the tenacity that Mayo football is famous for and will be needed against the dubs. If only galway had someone like that to try keep donoghue or Conroy quiet in the 2nd half. I remember o hora in some video of the club championship, very confident "we're going to win the championship" they didn't but it shows his attitude. He was in the run for motm with those 3 massive turnovers all within 2 min of each other Speedy recovery and bring much the same for dublin please

Replying To The_DOC:  "Calling Arann V MB a local derby is like calling Annaghdown V Miltown a local derby! Theres about 12Km (travel distance) between them as well as being split by another club in An Ceathrú Rua"
Your geography is very poor, ros a mhil port, the main port to aran, is in the parish of mb, mb players come from ros a mhil so yes it's a derby, carraroe are a few km back West

Now the dust has settled hopefully the admin will let me have my say. I had a great grá for down football since the early 00's coulter, Poland Clarke etc but ever since kilcoo came on the National stage and their attitude this cocky stuff doesn't kick scores. Delighted they were bet, if they spend less time focusing on themselves and playing as a unit they'd have won tailt. Too much focus on appearance and disco muscles and not enough of the fundamental basics of football, pass & go, kick from distance. Fair play o rourke

Replying To Gaillimh_Abu:  "It is not right that the Annaghdown v Barna game was played so late, 2 days after all of the other group games had been completed. It meant that Annaghdown knew exactly what they had to win by in order to pip Milltown on scoring difference for the last quarter-final spot. Also, Barna knew that they were safe from relegation and could not make the quarter-finals so they had absolutely nothing to play for. Surely all of the final round group matches should be played at the same time to avoid situations like this. Milltown have a right to feel aggrieved."
There was a bereavement so show some respect

Delighted kilcoo where bet, going around like their kingpins or club football from a powerhouse county. Scotstown missed a huge amount and should have bet them by 5 or 6. Kilcoo need go away and look what a proper senior club does and how they act on and off the pitch

5 down and he brings on Duane a defender for Walsh? Mike farragher coming in and getting red carded, where was he all league? Galway lost this game on the line they have the players but not the management.

Replying To Ailteoir:  "Walsh was poor and I agree with all the points you make on him. But that miss by Heaney was a horror show. If that had been put away, I don't think Monaghan would have come back. The poor game management on the line you refer to was matched on the pitch by some of the players. Paul Conroy has been a great servant to Galway but that black card he picked up towards the end was foolish to say the least. We'll know soon enough what the effects are of managing to lose a game that was there for the taking. More of the same in Connacht and it's hard to see how the current management can continue."
And the s&c team. We are so far behind in that regard it's scary, I actually think clare are now better than us, Kildare look far more ahead as do meaty in terms of s&c. I'd love to know our s&c's actual cv where they served their time etc because I for one am so shocked by there physical preparedness some lads obv live in the gym Cooke comer, other lads prob don't know what it looks like Duane p kelly

Even if he transferred to aran he wouldn't be able to stop them bottling the intermediate championship at semi final stage, they've been doing that for the last 10 years

Replying To jm25:  "O'flaherty mentioned ankle ligaments torn last night so I'd imagine season over for ocongahile. Farthing is playing with Connacht rugby so may be lost to gaa. It's a massive jump from u17 to u20 so very few make the jump in their first. For perspective trayers who's a super young player was a sub at stages for claregalway u19 last year so it's a lot to expect they'd be in best 26 u20 in Galway at age 17 or 18 For people at game last night would it have been playable if ET or penalties required ?looked dark on tv toward end. Embarrassing situation for Galway gaa no proper facilities to host night games"
Spiddal for the drop this year so, conghaile out, farthing at rugby the lee's gone down under with L Kelly so they'll really struggle. A pity to loose a talent like farthing to the foreign sport. Wish conghaile a speedy recovery
