Replying To The_analyser:  "Hard luck Pearses a brave effort leveled the game up 0-6 a piece then arrived the Corofin goal totally against the run of play and then two quick point, was no way back for Pearses then. On another day Pearses could have got two penalties and the cards was quicker handed out to Pearses players. Not going to do a Mr O Hara on it and blame the ref for losing. Well done Corofin on their deserved win or be it the margin of 6 points somewhat flattered them."
Thought referee had a good game. Dont think either decision was a penalty. Pearses can have no complaints that they got either. Pens would not have altered the final result. Overall think ref had a good game.

Under 20'S - 1 Like(s)
Lesson that needs to be learned from last weekend is to leave the players who are eligible for Under 20 with their age group and not to promote these players until after under 20 has been completed. There is a greater chance of us winning provincial at that grade that at senior. There will be calls to promote Red Og to the senior panel next year, this should be resisted. Allow him to play in his own age group and to enjoy his football.

Replying To eoinog:  "Delighted they are gone."
Well both managers sent out their teams to play positively. However they conceded huge scores

Replying To shorona:  "A lot of calls for Carew to leave. I'm not sure, don't think he's done all that badly tbh. What alternative's would people have in mind? Personally would like to see us try a Sligo man. I think Noel McGuire could be a good option. A great player, with a super temperament that would transfer well into management. Been involved as selector this season was a good introduction."
Think to go. What manager doesn't start one of the better players for all championship games. Breheny good player he was in his day should not have started either

Replying To maximus_1:  "Nail on the head post for sure. Sligo club football is certainly very poor at the moment and nothing like it was 10/15 years ago, I remember league matches in Div 1 with bigger crowds than at championship matches this year, and you used to pay into league games! Tourlestrane of course can only beat what's put in front of them in Sligo but unfortunately very little is being put in front of them."
Looks like you cannot criticise a referee on this forum Referee was excellent on Sunday. He got all the big decisions right especially the 2 penalty decisions at the start of second half. Definitely not a defining factor in the game. Fair play Jerome

Replying To pointman2007:  "Liam Gaughan not committing to Sligo this year, along with Kyle Cawley and Kevin Mc. Apparently Towey is off to Oz in March? Sligonian a clubman of yours can you confirm this? Great to see young lads being given a chance alright, some other lads brought into the panel clearly still have a lot to prove. Any word on Ewing lads, is he committing? Sunday will be a huge test"
As far as I am aware Liam is training away with Sligo.

Replying To eoinog:  "Hammered out the gate in Castlebar. Suppose we are as well to sack all of that Mgt team, kit man and water boys as well to go along with Taylor and the Co Board. .....Or we could say the writing was on the wall with the way we conceded goals against Roscommon and didn't learn."
Senior team had a 0% win record. Minors won 3 out of 5 in Connacht championship and had a good run in Ulster league. No comparison.

Let me see: 100% losing record last year. Same manager reappointed. Playing in Division 4 Whole managerial setup is to save money for County board rather than achievement on the pitch. Two best players of recent years taking year out/retiring will likely lead to more of same as last year. Getting a new manager would have sent out the right message that board were not hsppy with results and performances. Making profit seems to be more important unfortunately.
