That's my philosophy too.
But sure those with agendas want us to lose.

Yeah that's what I expect too. Number 14 is just the Jersey number, expect to play as chf. McMahon and lenehan as 2 nan forward line. Anyone know anything about Galway full back? If he is slow enough and decides to come out with Graham then this could be a goal chance or chances

Good team apart from the half back line once again but hopefully the likes of Harnan, James McEntee and perhaps young Conlon will be integrated sooner rather than later. I'd prefer to see Donnacha Tobin in this area as well which could easily happen anyway if one Galway's inside line drifts out. We have limited midfield options so can't do much there. Hoping for a big showing from our forwards because apart from Newman to return from injury, we haven't really any trump cards to call upon. There's usually a kick in us after a defeat so fingers crossed we can get something from this

Honestly think it's a mixture of tactics to see which players are suited to what type and which ones are adaptable to them all.
As yet there is no set tactical game plan yet, which while it is disappointing is understandable considering we only 3 real games into new manager, if it goes on for a year or four then we should complain. But Andy gets a bye for moment.

Yeah I'd like to see that too. Maybe a surprise on bench that may start? Harnan? Mcentee? Odd that it hasn't been posted since Andy has done this for every game.

Well that's it, it takes time, McEntee is only heading into his 4th genuine competitive game, so he's very much still finding his feet as Meath manager, I wouldn't expect him to know his best team or most suitable tactics yet. Now as you say in 2 or 3 years time if this is still the situation then we might have a problem on our hands as no progress will have been made but the man is basically just over a month into competitive football as Meath manager, so let's wait and see.

We are better placed for a win now than we were before the Down match. Overconfidence and complacency coupled with the early goal may have been valuable learning. W e are underdogs for this match, and that is when we can not be taken for granted. A win is possible ,but i will take a draw now

How would you describe the half back line?

Yea it is in fairness, but how bad looking is that half back line?

That's it in a nutshell. Only time will tell, I believe Andy will get it right, if not in two years then questions will have to be asked.
However 3 real games into position is no time to be questioning whether he is right man or not. While I still think we have a chance of promotion (if we won 4 remaining games we are promoted) I feel we will get beat in at least one of those, so that means it's out of our hands. But win tomorrow???? And who knows, maybe just maybe.

A win is very possible tomorrow nobull, but that's no disrespect towards Galway, they're a good team and deserve to be favourites. We never recovered after the early goals v both Kildare and Down, so we can't let it happen again, it would be hugely disappointing to see us let one slip early on tomorrow.

Meath will bounce back this week with a good performance. The team looks strong after the slight changes. A positive result would not be a shock

I'm hate being too harsh on players but u have to say that's the worst half back line to ever line out for meath competitively......and in the modern game it's the most important line on the pitch

Where are all the midfielders in co.meath we have been cleaned out in midfield in every game Andy needs to find an answers. Very mobile front 6 if we can keep it tight at the back and feed forwards we could do some damage. Worried about a free taker not having reliable one could cost us in tight game. Any suggestions for midfield nobody nailing there place there for me yet

Our problems seem to be in midfield and half back areas, yet this is the area where no changes are been made.

inexperienced ..but like everything more you play the better you should get as a unit !

If i had my way from watching Meath for the last few years the half back line (5)Donnacha Tobin (6)P Harnan (7)Bryan Menton

The half back line i have picked has a lot of power and when they get go forward ball all three are very hard to turn over and tackle...they cover and double up well and give the full back line lots of cover..plus they don't give the ball away cheaply !

Again i pick that half back line because i haven't seen enough of Willie Carry, Brian Power, Shane McEntee playing at the highest level in football !

yeah hard to see us winning enough dirty ball too.

potentially the players are there for a good half back line, but some players missing or used elsewhere.

mento, harnan, forde, tobin, keoghan, finn, conlon would all be better options in the half back line to the ones that are playing this weekend.
