Ziggy Not trying to knock But Hannigan is not even seen as first choice with Donaghmore/Ashbourne management. O Neill was not deemed good enough for the under 21's. Finn has been tried before, Menton would be too slow for a wing defender and if you are going to play him then get him to mark space. Jones has only played a handful of minutes in 2017 and should have got a run as a wing forward in last seasons Derry game. Still too young and not big enough for mid field. Nobody in that full forward line is capable of leading the line and winning ball. Can see why McEntee went for Brian Sheridan. Was any effort made to get Brian Meade back. Ziggy and again I am not trying to fall out with you. Suspect you are from the Ashbourne area. What happened these guys in last years county final with Simonstown? Andy McEntee will have to get outside the Ashbourne, Dunboyne and Ratoath belt. Great at underage but moving up the line ? Must have tried 20 plus players from this part of the world alone since Christmas. Donaghmore may have won championships back in the forties but what did these clubs ever really win at senior level? Dunboyne won two of the easiest championships ever, one by default and the other against a team who flirted with the junior grade in 2016. Three of last years senior championship semi finalists had no representatives for the opening NFL game versus Kildare. Says a lot. A bit of an ask to expect them lads to come back in after a few county league games, on the other hand getting them up to speed may pay off in later stages of Div 2. seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2150 - 28/02/2017 19:27:11 1962275 Link 8 |
That's my whole point about nothing changing.shane Gallagher was the best corner back this year in my eyes and wasn't even asked.the goalie situation is a shambles.no way is paddy the best keeper in Meath.what is going on.

Okay guys will put this out there. Meath will win on Sunday. Will take the abuse if we don't. The truth of the matter is we need to win. We can't be traveling to cork after another loss thinking we will suddenly turn it around and win on the road. Meathmen (Meath) - Posts: 73 - 01/03/2017 01:46:34 1962357 Link 0 |

Responding to your post, facts are incorrect, O'Neill was injured for the U21 match against Westmeath.

Just on you point about McGills height - how tall do you have to be to be a full back? McGill is 6'1'' - I would have thought there was more to it than that!!
