Well done to players and management-- a good tough dogged performance. Loads of heart and commitment.

Great to see Harnan and Tobin back.

What about Cillian O'Sullivan lads? Wow. He's the real deal.

That dink of a pass in to lenihan was unreal. Lenihan is improving with every game. Compare him to this time last year--massive improvement.

Management made good subs at the right time.

We lost focus at times especially in the second half and still need to do better at frees and midfield.

Referee was awful."
Pretty much agree with that. Ref was just bad and unfortunately nothing new from him. I actually can't believe he still on the refs panel.
I would bring in Flanagan too. Made a error but is rusty. Settled team going forward. Also I have to give a mention to power who was massively improved today.

Massive massive result for us today.
As I said Friday, not conceding an early goal would be vital.
Still nit winning near enough possession around midfield but attitude and hunger was definitely upped today. Wallace a bit silly again.
Lenihan is really getting into his groove.

Harnan and Tobin made a massive difference. Midfielder still poor but honestly no idea what you can do about it, don't think Flanagan is an improvement either, just need to go short kickouts quickly. Have to hand it to both McGill and Power stood up and played brilliantly showed what they can do. O'Sullivan gives the ball away sometimes but I love the risks he takes, creates great chances. Lenihan is finally bringing the club form to the county stage, delighted for him. 0-7, 0-8 and 1-5 in 4 games is pretty good going and despite the off day against Derry he might be top of the Div 2 scoring list

After a slow start, it was great to see a bit of hunger again to get hold of the ball and monopolise possession in that first half. We needed to have a decent lead at HT. The kick out strategy second half was poor (needs to be worked on), hit and hope stuff. But fair play to Meath, when Galway eventually went in front they still kept their composure and stayed in touch with a few points here and there and got the crucial goal that was needed for victory. Well-worked and classy stuff.

Its pretty simple maths now, win our remaining 3 games and we will be promoted, the only help we need is Down not winning their remaining 3 games

Says some one with a username like jakser?? Very dub like name . remember just cause the dubs invaded our towns and villages doesn't make them a expert at Meath football.

more players winning breaking ball is needed, midfield is not just the 2 names in the middle.. we were outnumbered in this area all day.

still a gutsy win if you take that into account, great to win a close game against a useful side.

I agree with other posters, the kickouts got Galway back in the game in the second half. POR kept doing the same thing but he had no other options, in fairness to joey and eamon wallace I think they were the only ones who actually made themselves available for the short kickout.

Agree with RD, Power improved massively today, what did other posters think of Carry today? Thought he was good going forward but I didn't notice him defensively which isn't to say he was bad just I didn't notice him. Has a good burst of speed as seen once or twice in todays game.

Hehe. He probably going for a dip in laytown.
Look win next 3 games and we promoted no matter what , I think I'm right in that??
Cork will be hurt after today and while it's many years ago the dislike of Meath still remain, no cork man wants to get beat by Meath. They will have a kick in them and we need to be ready for that. With Fermanagh getting schooled by Kildare they may need to beat us to avoid been relegated, so not a easy game either. Clare away last day? Winner could go up Clare are in fine form

Good game today great result. Full backs wer good today halfbacks were good young carry played well has serious speed power was very good so was harnarn o Sullivan had very good first half and last ten minutes lenihan was excellent menton did well at midfield again very hit and miss with frees and some silly shooting by lads when forwards were better placed good fighting spirit today we hunted in pacts turned over a lot of ball good tackling and not giving ball away easily was big improvement on last few games Flanagan looks like a midfielder did well when he came on did give ball away in last few minutes which could of cost us Mc Mahan was very poor and was angry with him self going off o coileian was poor as well but big improvement on last week watched keoghan closely in last ten minutes and he was brilliant head and shoulders best player on team for me. Don't want to be a kill joy but game was very open not many teams will play as open there were a lot of one on ones which our backs did well on packed defences are a real problem for us but a good win a big improvement and a lot of lads starting to look like definit starters again half backs were good on wards and up wards roll on next game

Some good decisions from the sideline. Fair play to McEntee. From 4 up to 3 down and plan b was implemented which worked well. Against a good side too. A good day at the office.
