Replying To grahamc9897:  "I literally have no idea what your talking about? Aiming high is all well and good! But we need to be realistic of where we are! You are coming out with ridiculous statements time after time!! The performance last night was terrible! Andy's performance so far has not been great let's be honest! And please stop with this argument of the players are scarred ! The only players that mcentee has brought in is Sheridan , Carry and Toher!
So this is mostly the same squad as last year !"
Didn't mention them been scarred , but their you go. Andy said at outset he was aiming for promotion I will back him in that until it's Mathematical impossible.
He has largely same bunch apart from what you said and forde and Menton who refuses to play under mod , however we don't hear excuses we weren't good enough last night. Where did I say otherwise?

Replying To atta:  "Its wide open and its only february. plenty of ball to be played yet. Tipperary thumped Galway last year so I wouldnt be overly afraid of them. Derry bet Kildare, who saw that coming. We won our first two games several years ago and were relegated. Sure we are no world beaters but just relax and stop second guessing the manager. He is an all ireland winner as is gerry and Donal Curtis. People wanted Boylan gone a year before he won a leinster. Patience is a virtue bestowed on few but a gift to all. Down eventually had to get a result. They too are a proud county with a great football tradition."
Here here. Wow someone with a Common sense approach. How refreshing

another question is why do we get some players with promise breaking through, then seem to not fill that promise or fade away?

Hard to say!! We have lost Conor Gillespie Shane O'Rourke Kevin Reilly all through persistent injury's! David Dalton and Young both walked away from County panel ! That's only the tip of the iceberg

Some got injured others just never fulfilled their promise, but it's a good question and one that perhaps steering committee should answer

Centrefield is a massive problem for us. We really need Young Harry Rooney back, and Gillespie is a massive loss. If we had 2 lads like that it would be half the battle. Mickey Newman seemed to be low on confidence but he has loads of ability. I dont know about all the Ratoath lads on the panel, it is probably unhealthy for one club to have so many involved.

I said that during O'Byrne, what about young Ross as a corner forward think he has potential. But maybe a year to early as yet.

I wonder if Ratoath agree with you! They lost to Castletown in the league on Friday - 6 lads missing can't be easy

Ronan Jones also could be an option in midfield

O Sullivan must be a doubt for next week, did not look right from the off and got a bang on the nose near halftime, McEntee looked in a fair bit of pain when taken off. Need to try someting different at midfield, a bit more primary possession could help steady the ship.

Eamonn Wallace? He was shocking the other eve gave away ball too easily and actually was directly responsible for 1 if not 2 late points , needs to improve big time.

I was thinking the same thing myself, when Eamon Wallace broke into the team in 2013 he was electric. 3 from play in his first champo game, 2 against the Dubs and 1-3 against Tyrone. Since then he has never found the form. Cruciate injury a big factor, doesn't appear as fast as he used to be

Royaldunnes words..
that doesn't matter to some, they want instant success, after loosing 2 league games some calling for heads. Lucky they only twinkle in eye when Sean had his first few years.

I am just making the point about the poor performances so far and I'm getting silly replys about how people wanted rid of Boylan ! Just to confirm I'm happy with Andy as manager but he is open to criticism!/
