Yeah - I agree. Sean Martin in particular and Liam Shaw if they can stay injury free. There are a few I have seen in training who look good but these Leinster League games will tell a bit about how they play in games. A few of the under 17's were called up to the squad and 3 of them look useful - Shane Walsh, Connell Courtney and Liam Byrne. I think there are a lot of good players on the squad and hopefully they will have agood run. Royalblufill (Meath) - Posts: 479 - 10/02/2017 16:25:44 1954450 Link 0 |

Daniel Devine be at 3 or maybe 6, Connell Aherne probably be wing forward, Cian Swaine midfield, Robbie Clarke corner back and Frayne probably corner forward

There must be some Dunboyne players on this panel also . What way will team line out do you think generally

7 Dunboyne lads on the panel. I would expect Andrew Beakey (Colmcilles) in goal, Sean Ryan (Dunboyne), Dan Devine (Na Fianna), Ciaran Slavin (Meath Hill), Niall Mulvey (Longwood), Jack Hethrington (Dunshauglin), Sam Reynolds (Carnaross), Paraic Nulty (Stamullen), Cian Swaine (Athboy), Connell Aherne (Ratoath), Sean Martin (Na Fianna), Paddy Conway (Dunboyne), Daragh Nolan (Dunboyne), Shane Walsh (Na Fianna) and Conor Frayne (Summerhill). Something in and around that. With regards to style of play I've not seen them play with the 17's up so we'll find out tomorrow.

Sorry forgot about Robbie Clarke (Skryne) and Adam Murphy (Moynalvey). I would have them corner and wing back

1-11 to 0-8 win. They were 0-7 to 1-2 down at half time. Good comeback win LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 1463 - 11/02/2017 13:28:50 1954709 Link 7 |
you at the game? If so was it a strong Meath selection and who impressed?

Yeah I was at it. Very strong team out, close to first team. Tackling was very impressive. Nobody really stood out individually. Joseph Donnelly with 1-3, 1-2 from play, Cathal Finnegan off the bench very good, 2 great frees and a point from play

Poor in the first half I'll be honest, Nulty came off and Shane Walsh went midfield and they started getting on top

Not sure about that. 2 giants midfield. They are very tall but not that heavy I would have thought
