Replying To Crinigan:  "Sure a while back I mentioned a young minor forward (Finnegan, wasn't on county minor panel) who I saw playing with Senchalstown second team as a player to watch it in the future for Meath and I was lambasted. I hear he is running riot for St Pats in the Leinster schools now so I'll stick by my prediction. Clearly though I was talking about the long term, a few very jumpy lads on here."
People laughed when I suggested Robbie Burlingham could be an option as Meath GK last year, now many think he could be first choice..
The guy you mentioned? Those people probably never seen him play..

There is a bit of revisionism going on there Crinigan.
You posted your comment about young Finnegan on a thread entitled "New Players for Meath Panel". The general tone of the replies was that if someone was to be considered for the Meath panel, they should be at least playing with their clubs first team. Not unreasonable I'd have thought.

He is a good player all right, but he is young and small. Give him time to develop, and let him play a bit for the Seneschalstown seniors and Meath minors (if he is selected) before throwing his name about in relation to county senior panels.

crikey mate are you taking the p155 or have you been out of the loop....

Gillespie might never play football again never mind at intercounty level. His knees are pretty much ruined.

Words can't describe how excited I am for this season. O'Byrne Cup, League but also minor and 21's. McEntee, Callghan and Coyle. 3 quality quality managers will maximize our talent. We will see how far that talent can go but for the first time in a while I am very hopeful

How good do you expect our minors to be this year?

But yeah it is good to finally see a structure.

Nobody stands out like maybe a Conor Nash would have a couple of years ago. Conor Frayne from Summerhill, Shane Walsh and Sean Martin from Na Fianna all very talented and I've never seen Ciaran Slavin from Drumcondrath/Meath Hill and Jordan Morris from Nobber but hear both are good. Main reason I think this team will win Leinster is that Dublin aren't that strong. Kildare are good but not great and Coyle will have them really well prepared and organised

Interesting line ups in the challenges at the weekend.

It's looking like the problem midfield slots will be filled between Cian O'Brien, Brian Menton, James Toher and Brian Power. They were the ones in action there over the two games.

Power could be an interesting option,he has the mobility for sure.
