You had to approach a manager first to see if they were interested. I know for a fact one of them put their own name forward and another was nominated. Curran may have come out declining but he was put forward as well. The rule was you could not nominate a manager unless they were interested.So how did Curran decline after he was nominated? Know as much as you RD, I wouldnt expect an official statement from Co. Commttee etc until any manager, Andy or other, is fully ratified on both sides. You'd hope that could be done after the next meeting on monday 8th but probably some will want to go back to their clubs for direction on which way to vote which could delay everything till the next scheduled meeting in September. Haven't got the Chronicle at hand ziggy so I can't quote it directly but it was the one about not being able to release the nominations over the weekend because there was no administration staff in till Tuesday to process them. It's not exactly hilarious but I laughed when I read it because it sounded a bit like a lame 'the dog ate my homework' type excuse for not releasing the names over the weekend, that's all.
